First time I ever experienced owt like this was at a service station middle of France in the early hours of the morning around 1991. On a rugby trip to perpignan, we'd been drinking since the M1 (weren't allowed to start till the M1, about all of 15 mins into the journey) Stood there having a wee along with several other very drunk and uncouth gentlemen from gods own when what must have been a French equivalent of a SAGA trip all pile in. The elderly French ladies all took it in their stride. We didn't know where to look and assumed we'd been pissing in the sinks ....lol

Why has he never been to the Mount?

Its a sports tourer. So yes you are forward but not in an extreme way like an R1. To be honest they are easy to manoeuvre and not that heavy in comparison to say an adventure bike. STs are very good compromise bikes. I'm too knackered to have full on sports bikes now. The ST will push on. I commute at times. Ideal for that. Lisa goes on the back. Very good pillion position, and comfy according to her.

I would seriously look at the sprint ST again. I'm similar size to you, well a bit bigger. And r lass is only small. ST is ideal for a bit of everything really. Only 120 bhp, so not stupid fast. Will carry as much as you like, yet a really good commuter too.

Cheers. I did a course around 2005 for a few week north Gloucester area. Said same helicopters would land on an adjacent property... Very strange. Was a mix of civvies and serving forces who were using their leaving allowance (i was using my retraining allowance to upskill). I would stare in amazement at the covert goings on. They just laughed and said we knew nowt.....lol

I don't think the hanky panky was relevant at all in the election. We are a strange constituency in some respect. We have areas of considerable wealth but also also of recognised deprivation. The voting patterns never really change. The tories remain blue no matter what. The reds remain red. The only difference this time was the split red vote. Boris was totally wrong stating it was so close to a victory in his spin. It could have been but by default. Our majority would have been plus 7000 easily if you minus the Scottish twats votes. I'm just hoping everything settles down a bit now. Kim delivers and we can get back to some normality.

People have different beliefs. I am staunch Labour. But I have friends and members of my extended family who vote tory. They aren't stupid or rich. I may call them deluded but its their belief set. We have anti tory stuff in the house, but they are just as welcome here as People who share my beliefs. Thats what makes the world a better place.
