    Help with exhausts

http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/categ ... d=Exhausts These should do you, I have DG Hardkrome 2.75in long straights on my 1100 Draggie. The sound is awesome and there is some performance enhancement. I got mine in Oct 07 only fitted them in Feb this year, the £ was strong against the $ then too. They also do as much bling as you could ever ask for, BTW in my with opnion avoid Highway Hawk.
  2. Of course if your bike runs a dry clutch there won't be a problem. always used a 20/50 in my Guzzi's, but now with a wet clutch I use 10/40 bike oil.
  3. Agreed they are underpowered I could rarely squeeze a ton out of mine and always regarded 90 mph as it's top speed. the shortage of top end power probably gave me the tyre longevity having said that I have never replaced a legal tyre. Only ridden a 535 once, that was enough for me. Always thought they looked like they have had a hard front end shunt But ain't it good we don't all like the same bikes.
  4. Soz mate, already booked for lunch on the losers side of the bridge. stands back and waits.
  5. That'll be an XVS, Had a 650 Draggie classic for 3 years before upgrading to the 1100. Cracking bike, cheap to run too, I was getting 20,000 miles out of a rear tyre and I never changed the front but I put 42,000 on it and sold the bike with 50,000. so I'm guessing it was the original. I had it serviced twice a year and changed the oil between as needed. Have the back end lifted (frame) if the rear wheel stays on terra firma walk away (or get dealer to sort) a new shocker will be needed and they are best part of £300. They won't set the world on fire but I still miss mine, you can throw them about with the ease of a sports bike (had a CBR600 before) you just run out of ground clearance sooner. Shaft drive so no oily chains to adjust, lub and replace. Put a screen on or you will rip your arms & head off over 70mph. Got anymore details year, mileage ect.
  6. Sorry, I can't remember what I voted.
  7. Soz Tim only just seen this, an' I've got work tonight.
  8. I have the Oxford ones that use the mirror to secure them, the whole mirror off/muff on/mirror on/adjust mirror thing is a pain
  9. I have used them, look fuggin ugly but one of the most practical things you can add for winter riding. Just a pain to fit and remove, couldn't be arsed this year (what a mistake that's turned out to be ).
  10. Not looking, they have them fitted on some 1800 models. Don't know if they are on UK models though.
  11. Get the bike you want and ride with real mates they won't ride off into the distance.
  12. Dates for this years Weston super Mare Bike Nights. http://www.rblr.co.uk/westonbikenight.html
  13. Prefer D rings, but take whatever the lid I choose has, that is seatbelt type at the moment.
  14. How about...............................http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Police-Helmet-wit ... 8001r23903
  15. Leather and a decent lightweight two piece waterproof.
  16. To help avoid carb icing I use Silkolene FST during the colder weather. Yes it does work.
  17. I made the mistake of selecting the send me emails when I bought something from M&P, I got emails from about 4 differently named companies every other day, and not all could be removed from the 'remove me from the mailing list' link Yup thefastone and offroadstore all the same outfit. Dead handy for getting mucoff bogofs, as they never do them at the same time so you should almost always be able to get it half price.
  18. i prefer busters myself ( type it into google and it comes up ) M&P are similar Busters atm have a rail that has some ladies trousers on it and other bits & bobs for 29.99 each item ( tech7 & buffalo trousers) also a box of gloves at i think £5 a pair ...... Tim, Don't know if you are aware M&P/Busters are the same firm I found this out when blagging raffle prizes Busters gave me a cheap disc lock, when I went to M&P they told me they had already given me something at Busters.
  19. Most pubs in Fordingbridge are biker friendly. Looking a tit on a sportsbike is unavoidable I'm afraid, wherever you go. Tiz the Red Lion in Avebury, will post up more as I remember them.
  20. Quantify what you mean by the statement "hell's-angel kind" , as far as I'm aware HA are bikers.
  21. M&P/Busters have some good deals on clothing, not too far from you either.
  22. Thanks Tim, now a favorite.
  23. Para 3 says it all. If you are a motorcyclist and have been involved in a road accident - or a pillion rider you may be entitled to a personal injury compensation claim. Pillion riders / passengers are owed a duty of care by the person controlling the bike and if you feel you have been injured as a result of another's negligence - you may be able to claim.
