  1. You will not be alone there, I am one of the anti pink brigade In fact anti Hi vis, which does put me out of kilter with many people. I plan to be with the Flags again this year you will know which is mine.
  2. But when you ride it you know why it is named as such. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a189/MMadmac/P1000152.jpg One of them is me.
  3. Bex, A bit of a ride for you, Thunderroad are having an open day at their newish shop in Cwmbran on Saturday. http://www.thunderroad.co.uk/events/thu ... -2009.aspx I will be there all day on the RBLR stand, if you do go don't be a stranger.

  7. It was George Dubblya, and funny as hell if it hadn't come from the mouth of the man with his finger on the button Can't remember the full quote, but I won't be surprised if when I get home from work at 0700 it is here.
  8. Any more than warm and dry and TT fortnight Still worth the trip IMHO.
  9. Like I said then Yup. but remember no one likes a smartarse
  10. Ok, I have been speaking with the organiser and yes there is a rideout but these are on the first bike night of the month, sadly due to the rather unpredictable weather last week it did not go ahead.
  11. I believe there was not a great deal of interest in the rideouts so I think they stopped. The last night is not a rideout, but Members of The Royal British Legion Riders Branch have a mass ride in, co-ordinated & led by yours truly. Last year (the first) we had some 86 bikes from around the Country, the word used was 'impressive' apparently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh8-c3MUe0I Group photo at 16secs, the ride starts at around 3mins Expecting a bigger turnout this year.
  12. Dispite my best efforts I'm not going to make this, still got house things to do. Maybe meet some of you at RttW.
  13. Mark, Your forum access is up too. Go introduce yourself to the Branch. sorry
  14. New one on me, Due to working nights I don't get there too often and when I do I land up marshalling. I know they did do one but I don't know if it has become regular.
  15. Anyone going to the Bike Night tonight ? If you see this it's mine http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a189/MMadmac/P8080778_lyneham-1.jpg An' that'll be me pearched on top.

  18. I plan to be at the last one of the year 24th September. Organised a mass ride in of Branch members last year, led 86 bikes from all over the Country into the bike night, may be doing similar this year. Here's a taster, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh8-c3MUe0I Group photo before the off at 0.16 My bike at 1.37 and 2.35
  19. Spoke to the organiser of Weston Bike Night today, A complaint has been submitted by one fish and chip vendor further down the prom saying that the road closure is affecting his trade. The fact is that this chippie closes at 1800 which is the same time that the Bike night starts and has refused to serve people after 1730 as he wasn't going to start more cooking due to his closing time. If you are asked to park on the grass ask for a sidestand puck you will be given one at no cost to yourself and if you want you can even take it home with you. BTW So far this year there have been no less than 3 rumors going around that the Bike Night is being closed down, they are all false. Weston Council fully support the night so much so that the months extention last year and the continuation of the nights into September this year are at their request. Thank you for signing there are in excess of 800 signatures. And please continue to support the night, it is all for a good cause.
  20. So, if these riders are not breaking the law what are the fines etc that people are moaning about ? If they were not breaking any laws they would take it further and win the case. Let's face it if you speed and get pulled it's a fair cop, If your plate is undersized, it's a fair cop, If your pipes are not for road use, it's a fair cop, tinted visors, coloured headlight covers the list goes on. The law may be an ass but it is the law. Don't do anything to draw attention to yourself and you will be OK. As has been stated you will get ar*eholes up there doing all the wrong things and proving Brunstrom right. It will serve no valuable purpose, only to malign the vast majority of riders.
  21. f**k it, Had the top man at work see us last night to suggest that we change from a 4 night week to a 5 night week and increase our hours with no increase in pay. Currently Fridays are overtime if required and voluntary, which means if I go ralling I only need to take one night off at most. Seemed surprised we didn't look very happy. And this is just the start. f**k it. rant over
  22. Don't have a clue, usually done due to space issues on the prom. That said using the Beach Lawns was part of the original plan.
  23. Nearly 700 there last night, don't ya just love the summer evenings.
  24. You would get more by breaking for spares, but it's too good to do that and it could take forever. It is defo a project bike that won't take much doing.
  25. Looks like you had a great time. Which ones you http://www.flickr.com/photos/westonsupe ... 968953850/ BTW the scoot outfit got 'Bike of the Night'
