There are currently only 66 registered with a 200 max and 157 min needed to complete it to set new world record. Just trying to drum up a bit of support

Anyone up for a challange ? Any bike any cc just a butt of steel (well Iron) http://www.rblr.co.uk/content/RBLR1000.html

Best I ever had was a Bell (firm fit, excellent vision and quiet but heavy as hell), secondhand off a mate who had had it secondhand. don't know how it would have stood up in an accident, but hey I didn't have one.

All their gear is TUV approved. That alone is good enough for me, but I'm not the sort to buy a name.

Have bought luggage and accessories (crash bars, exhaust ect) from the States all been without any traumas. The import duty can be a bit hit and miss as far as the amount goes, I think the couriers make it up as they go.

Sadly it falls on the w/e between two other rallys, the wallet won't take it (not too sure about the kidneys either ). Maybe next time.

Yamaha's is a series of flashes, bit like morse code Then look at workshop manual.

Don't know if you bike has TPS but I have had the same and all I needed to do was adjust the sensor (the mounting bolt had come loose).

Tim, Interesting tips there, Assisting females. Whereas I stop for any bikes I have not stopped for a female with a broken down cage for more than a few years, I make no apologies for that but it is a sign of the times that I have become more worried about any comeback than the well being of a female. No apologies but I am embarrassed. Will use your tips and once again be chilvarious.

The only times I have not stopped I am usually in the outside lane and am unable to. During the recent snow I stopped for a moped rider who it, transpired was just too scared to carry on. As she was waiting for her husband to rescue her I gave words of encouragement before I continued to work.

Me too at 0.55-1.00, side next to camera. With Legion flag.
-
Yep, that'll be the Cardiff mob. I am also WRC.
-
Having a nice run to Aberystwyth, sadly I won't be able to join you as I'm on a Legion course there. Still I get to combine the course with a ride.

I have heard of them, do you intend to do the replacing yourselves ? I did hear some not so good reports about their workmanship, but this was a few years ago. Had Jardine Rumbler turnouts on my 650 Draggie cracking sound but the chrome started to show signs of rust fairly quickly, then again I do use my bikes 52 weeks a year and US brightwork doesn't stand up too well to British winters.

No more than the kit pre-determines the bike. Yes you would look a bit of a knob on a sportsbike with tassels, as you would on a cruiser in power ranger one piece racing leathers. I ride with the same leathers on a cruiser as I did on a CBR. There is plenty of clothing out there which is fit for purpose which look fine on either.

http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/categ ... d=Exhausts These should do you, I have DG Hardkrome 2.75in long straights on my 1100 Draggie. The sound is awesome and there is some performance enhancement. I got mine in Oct 07 only fitted them in Feb this year, the £ was strong against the $ then too. They also do as much bling as you could ever ask for, BTW in my with opnion avoid Highway Hawk.

Of course if your bike runs a dry clutch there won't be a problem. always used a 20/50 in my Guzzi's, but now with a wet clutch I use 10/40 bike oil.
-
Agreed they are underpowered I could rarely squeeze a ton out of mine and always regarded 90 mph as it's top speed. the shortage of top end power probably gave me the tyre longevity having said that I have never replaced a legal tyre. Only ridden a 535 once, that was enough for me. Always thought they looked like they have had a hard front end shunt But ain't it good we don't all like the same bikes.

Soz mate, already booked for lunch on the losers side of the bridge. stands back and waits.

That'll be an XVS, Had a 650 Draggie classic for 3 years before upgrading to the 1100. Cracking bike, cheap to run too, I was getting 20,000 miles out of a rear tyre and I never changed the front but I put 42,000 on it and sold the bike with 50,000. so I'm guessing it was the original. I had it serviced twice a year and changed the oil between as needed. Have the back end lifted (frame) if the rear wheel stays on terra firma walk away (or get dealer to sort) a new shocker will be needed and they are best part of £300. They won't set the world on fire but I still miss mine, you can throw them about with the ease of a sports bike (had a CBR600 before) you just run out of ground clearance sooner. Shaft drive so no oily chains to adjust, lub and replace. Put a screen on or you will rip your arms & head off over 70mph. Got anymore details year, mileage ect.

Soz Tim only just seen this, an' I've got work tonight. -
I have the Oxford ones that use the mirror to secure them, the whole mirror off/muff on/mirror on/adjust mirror thing is a pain
-
I have used them, look fuggin ugly but one of the most practical things you can add for winter riding. Just a pain to fit and remove, couldn't be arsed this year (what a mistake that's turned out to be ).
-
Not looking, they have them fitted on some 1800 models. Don't know if they are on UK models though.
