If you have the cash now get down to Lidl's tomorrow, a pair of the best gloves I have had cost me £12 several years back, and this years are £14.
-
As long as it fits correctly then there is nothing wrong with them. The Lidl kit all meets German TUV standards which are as good or exceed ours.

Never had a bike with wheel spindle nut covers and the all worked perfectly well, don't sweat the petty things
Are you sure your trying to rat this bike

As someone who uses Bristol roads on a regular basis and have been doing so for the past 30+ years. Driving motorcycles, cars, vans and trucks. I can tell you that it is the worst place I have driven in with regard to cyclists (yes I have driven in London in all but cars).
Bristol has one of the largest cycle lane and seperate cycleway networks in UK, it also seems to have the worst cyclist attitude I know of. I quote a cyclist at my workplace when asked why he doesn't use the cyclepath on his route to work, "I do when I get to the lights so I can get through them on red, other than that their bumpy and my bike might get damaged"
Millions of pounds spent so he can get round red lights, glad I no longer pay taxes to Bristol, so they can pander to tree huggers.
None of this addresses the fact that he obstructed the free passage along a public highway which is also an offence. Try parking your motorcycle across a road to remonstrate with a driver who has cut you up and see what happens. Of course if you get a broken leg it's ok.
At no point would nor have I condoned the bus drivers action, but the cyclist was not entirely blameless.

Umm, he could have killed the guy!!
2 points.
1, He didn't.
2, In trying to avoid the oxygen thief he could have killed someone else or caused an accident which resulted in the death of another person.

On the bus defence (i'm not sticking up for hm)
I drive 8 miles into Manchester every day and the cyclists are a pain in the arse. They have no reguard for anyone in the road or the pavement, weaving on and off the pavement out into the road. They ride through red lights holding their hands up, like a policeman stopping traffic and if the car gets to close it will get the one finger salute. Commanding the road is ok but don't ride in the middle of the road holding everything thing up then abuse car drivers when they overtake by banging on the car window giving the w**ker sign when the car has stopped in traffic.
Even on the video there is a cyclists turning left when he should be just in the flow of traffic moving to the right.
This cyclist was probably just one of many idiots the bus driver had had to deal with throughout the day.
As bikers if a car, bus or lorry is being a dick we don't up to it and abuse the driver by getting in the way and winding the driver up. We hold back and let the idiot go on ahead where he can't cause us any harm.
Because thats what keeps us safe. If the lentil eating lycra clad land hogging road tax dodging cyclists did the same he wouldn't have a broken leg.
Free the bus driver and make cyclists take a test (like the cbt) before they use the public highway
With you on this one TC, the driver should have been given a suspended sentence due to the provication(sp)
As an aside what does the offence of 'obstructing a public highway' mean ?
Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980
137:-
(1) If a person, without lawful authority or excuse, in any way wilfully obstructs the free passage along a highway he is guilty of an offence
My question is what sentence did the oxygen thief get for propping his cycle against the front of the coach, preventing free passage ?
Oh yes and get well soon

Reflectors are usually of such thin material that rechroming would not be practicable. If badly corroded near impossable.
-
As you can ride at 60 on a single carrageway it goes without saying that as in this case duel = two, you can ride at 120
don't care what the cars can do.

your ratting it, if paint flakes it does not a problem. Carry a rattle can of a flat black paint in the top box and do your touch up as and when.
Ain't s'posed to look pretty.

Lol don't get me started on health and safety, we battle over zealous health and safety at work constantly these days!
As someone said its a job for life but something that exists to only to feed its own existence ultimately will do more harm than good.
Concur with you on this, odd how they pick on the trivial yet somehow ignore the things that would cost the employer to get fixed.
Do as we say, not as we do ?
