  1. Hi, I'm in the process of having a new heating system throughout my house and have now been told that the asbestos needs stripping out of 2 cupboards I have. It's there as I have a warm air blower downstairs which needs removing. Apparently the asbestos is from the 60's and is AIB. Been quotes 2 grand for it to be removed, that's just from 2 cupboards. I don't trust that company anyway and won't be using them at all, but does anyone have any knowledge of it and does that seem a piss take? Doing my head in ATM and need to get out of the caravan back into my house soon.
  2. Hi i went in and spoke with hr, showed them what happened gave them my data protection paper work all the details and they said they was going to contact me last week and they didnt i walked into a engineering firm and got the job there and then, hes happy with me i said about the caution and he wasn't bothered Nice one mate, glad you got a job anyway.
  3. I think you've misunderstood me mate. It's not their duty to just advise them to say that. It's their duty to act in their clients best interests, and in alot of cases, just by being lazy and advising that, it's extremely damaging for the client. If, in their best interest (which playing devils advocate) it is genuinely adviseable as in some cases it would be for the client, then yes. Not just to get away as quickly as possibly though. That's unforgivable. As in this case. Imagine the scenario. CK askes for a brief. One turns up and they have consultation. Questions are put, and CK says "no comment" to every question on advice of the legal rep. Well that's a caution out of the window at this point, it can not be given as no admission made. As there is CCTV of the assault, it's not going to be NFA'd as there is a realistic possibility of a conviction with this evidence. So a charge is the only way forward, effectively binding the Police to do this. Good for the client? No help at all I think. I see this all too often.
  4. Not sure what cps is ? All i can tell you is i went in volutary interviewed then arrested but free to leave at the time :S I WAS A FOOL I NEVER ASKED FOR A SOLICITOR because i had never been in trouble before This might have even been your saving grace, and the difference between a proper conviction or not. You did the right thing and owned up, knowing the weight of evidence against you. So many times I have seen wanky defence Solicitors and legal representatives advise their clients to say 'no comment' when they are asked questions. Following a 'no comment' interview, the majority are charged or the case is put before the CPS, who will most of the time authorise the charge. I hate defence solicitors for that. They can totally screw someone right up giving shit advice, just because they want to get out of the nick as fast as possible to watch Eastenders etc.
  5. Sorry mate I've only just seen this, pm me for any advice!! Right. So you've had a caution. You've not been convicted of anything. A caution is a means of case disposal. Rather than putting you through the courts system, you've owned up and accepted the caution simple as that. The CPS don't issue cautions at this point, it's up to an ERO (evidential review officer) to make the decision. This would not have even been passed to the CPS. Common Assault has a few parts to it. The fact you hit him, means its assault by beating (Battery). That's all. It shouldn't matter how it's worded, it's the lowest tier physical assault possible. Poking someone in the chest amounts to the same. I really don't see their issue. Dishonesty offences are far worse in employers eyes. If you want a chat anytime, I'm available.... (Unless I'm locking someone away for common assault....) By the way, if anyone asks you if you were arrested for it, you were not. What you had was an interview under caution, no arrest. Otherwise known as a caution +3. It sounds like your employers, and yourself (I don't mean this in a derogatory way) don't understand the offence and wording. If either of you want to talk to me and I'll explain, I'll do that.
  6. Sorry to hear about your dad Phooey
  7. Going further on mine... Twat in Mercedes turned into me, I knew I was gonna hit. I remember hearing the crunch but not seeing or feeling the launch. Next minute I'm in a really big party with all my friends and family there, thumping music, laughing etc. Apparently I was out for around 5 minutes, which apparently ain't good. Then suddenly opened my eyes, laying on my back, hearing the wind rushing through the trees and birds singing. Such a bizzare feeling and almost serene, the total opposite of the first accident, which was horrifying.
  8. I had a strange experience when I crashed last year and got knocked out. Vivid and really bizarre. Not really an after death thing, more a near death experience? Was very weird though.
  9. I've bought jack shit lol. Things are still going through and I've had a lot on with the new house etc. It's on the cards like alot of things at the mo Please don't ban me for my post oh gracious one
  10. Finding battlefield pretty tough online! Been going through Horizons at mo too, not online though.
  11. I'm certainly NOT looking at a z1000...
  12. As above, hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and an even happier new year! 2017 HAS to be better than 2016. My new motto....NEVER say never
  13. I've watched Battlestar Gallactica. My ship won't be networked...... them Cylons are nasty toasters.
  14. I'm all done too. Mixture of Amazon, EBay and getting off my arse and driving to Cambridge, which was surprisingly empty (probably all logging into Amazon).... The most stress free Christmas time I've ever had (at the moment...)
  15. To sling in my 10p... Android all the way. I find most people at work are brand whores with Apple. So much better about. The only apple product I use is an iPad. I've got a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and to be fair I love the Android o/s but not a huge fan of the phone. Edged screens are a waste of decent screen space. Every time I use it one handed, the side of my palm touches the screen and the phone does all sorts of weird shit. I should have gone for the normal S7 or the HTC. Looks fantastic though and the memory is expandable buy a huwarge amount (although fiddly to manage sometimes). I've now had to get a Spigen case for it, which looks great for a case but didn't want to have to do that. Stops any part of my hand touching the edge. Much better and almost looks oe. Never buy Apple just because it's Apple.
  16. The lemon meringue pie Joe? Yeah it's lovely eh?
  17. No your right mate. I've smashed a few tanks at work, never clucked for a nicotine fix. I just like doing this, and have thought of just jacking it up, but enjoy it at the mo.
  18. That's weird I get no separation... Are you measuring it in with blunt syringes? Or drops? Pop over for a brew sometime dude and I'll show you what I do if you like . I'll knock you a bottle up. I get my nicotine from the alchemists cupboard, and pg/VG on eBay (can give you links if you like).
  19. Where you getting your stuff Fro? Are you adding ethyl maltol? Remember to give them a shake every day, and I squeeze the excess air out also when I'm doing it to switch it over and get fresh air in the top. Use the ejuice me up calculator also.
  20. That's vapable now dude, you tried it yet? Try capable.com for your flavours. Flavourings are a huge hit n miss. You'll figure it out after a while what works well and how to round flavours off nicely. But, my advice would be to mix up 10ml bottles first rather than going all out on 30 or 50ml bottles and realising it tastes gross...
  21. So then peeps, it's that time of year again where Wham, Cliff Richard and band aid come out to haunt us... What's on your Xmas list this year? So far for mine... Nextbase dash cam Hard wire kit That's it! Can't think of feck all else!
  22. However, every brickie south of the Mississippi will be grinning...
