  1. Either this, or even better, start the ball rolling yourself. Speak to TC on here via PM, he can offer very good advice on what to do next, but if I was you I'd tell him to f**k right off if he's asking you to pay up.
  2. Might be interesting at work later...
  3. Thought I'd do a quick review of my bike now I've had it just shy of a year... Ok. The story was this...I had a big cruiser and had an accident, which saw it written off. I like 'different' bikes, not clit bikes. So I've never owned a supermoto before and nearly bought a Hypermotard, but then went into Jim Aimes to look at a 990smc, and fell in love with the 690. So, after a few days I rang up and put the deposit down. I also opted for the Evo 1 kit, which is the full Titinium Akra system, air box mod and map. This thing is quick. I don't mean top end, but quick off the mark. It barks like hell on the gas, sounds amazing. It's also very, very light which is great for throwing it about, but horrific if you get stuck behind a hgv. You get bounced about like a turd in a piss pot. Suspension is first class and all WP. Breaks, bang on. Loads of feel from the front Brembo but it does dive a lot. Also has ABS, which you can disable, or if you want to be a hero, get the KTM dongle which keeps abs on up front but let's the rear lock and slide all day long so you can back it in. Not for me This is a bike for country roads. No ifs or buts. It's horrible on dual carriageways and motorways, and the tank range is poor. Fuel tank is under seat and you access it by a tiny flap behind the seat. It's awkward filling this thing up, which you do, often. Overall quality wise it's beautiful. Extremely well put together and very focused. Sticks to Tarmac like an urban limpet. Very expensive at £7995 but again it's arguably the best road going pure supermoto. The single cylinder 690 twin spark is surprisingly smooth for a thumper, and (almost) quiet on tick over. The throttle can be a bit snatchy but this is the second KTM I've had (RC8) and seems to be the trend with KTM. I've had people believe this bike is a 125 until they actually read the 690 logo. The riding position is comfy, but I get cramp in my cooch after about 45 mins and have to stand up on the pegs to get blood flowing there again, which makes you feel like your pissing yourself. Maybe I am, I'm getting old anyway... So would I reccomend this bike? I'd have to say no. Not because it's a bad bike, but unless your adamant all you want to do is be a hooligan on the back wheel or hood around country lanes, if that's the case it will be the bike for you. But it's not a 'do it all' bike it's a second bike in the garage to go nuts on, staying well away from fast roads. Which is why I'm getting shot of it and returning to sports bikes again. I will be sad to see it go, but of all the bikes I've ever owned, I will miss this one the least. Great bike, wrong type of rider (me) for it.
  4. Tactical contact is a good thing but costing quite a bit of money at mo lol.
  5. Haha kids are brilliant. My son (10) always watches Police Interceptors and thinks he'll see me on it (hehe). They had to stand up and talk about their parents and what they did last week. When I picked him up from school he explained that he'd chose me, and the job I do, and that I chase baddies in stolen cars and 'T-bag' them!! I explained that it was T-PAC, and what 'T-Bagging' was. He saw the funny side.
  6. Which is why I can't go further too...
  7. Need more info... Car on left? How far were you from roundabout when he entered? Why did he stop? Did he have to stop in that position? How fast was your approach? Could you have realistically stopped in time? Weather? Too many variables to make an informed comment...
  8. You should have just stared at him, and in the most retarded voice, replied, "Yeah I know them, but they went downhill when Robbie Williams and Jason Orange left".
  9. The 5 series is what I have. Me thinks this will be the last decent job I get for a while, the way the job is going we'll have smart cars this time in 3 years...
  10. Then tell him to f*ck off when he comes out.
  11. Why not get a 'one man band' kit, you know, like the bass drum on your back connected to you leg, symbals and mouth organ etc, and go marching up and down his garden path at 5am 'practicing' your music skills?
  12. Every time he does it (out of hours) call the council and get put through to environmental health. They work out of hours and will come and warn him. Nice he carries on they can slap a noise abatement order on the property. Happened again, they'll seize it. There are ways to stop this, but it's long winded and depending on your council, they can help or do f**k all. But use your camera phone and log everything. If it's really taking the piss, call Police. Not a huge amount they can do but they will knock on his door and tell him to pack that shit in.
  13. Mines got to be Harold Faltemeyer...top gun theme. But the extended movie version at the beginning of the film. Sounds great loud with a sub.
  14. Did someone say "hog riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiider!!!"
  15. Not bad for a hog rider though....
  16. Someone did cover that Joe - playing devil's advocate I would argue that the car actually wasn't 100% right in stopping. Amber means prepare to stop if safe to do so but he was very close when it turned and I don't think he had enough time to check his mirror before slowing down / stopping as should be done... Therefore because his checks probably wasn't performed I would argue it wasn't safe to stop - just like doing a U turn without a shoulder check. If I were the car I would have gone through because I couldn't be certain I Was safe from being rear ended. Sorry mate missed that bit
  17. Glad to see someone taking criticism with grace. Well done for stopping, can't take that away from you. The rest has been covered, apart from one thing. On approach always anticipate a light changing and adjust accordingly. That's said, well done
  18. There really needs to be a 'like' button!
  19. Yay! You too! Can't wait to see your outfit.. Between you, Glorian and Rant there's going to be quite the pyre awaiting sacrifices I'll bring some firefighters and marshmallows...
