  6. Oh I see... they won't be any use to me then. Down here rain is boundless... Do you have any suggestions? Thank you. Look for gloves with a waterproof lining , gortex or similar. As an example. http://www.rst-store.co.uk/rst-shadow-ii-ce-waterproof-gloves.html Pick a supplier of your choice and google them for water proof gloves. See here. http://www.bikersworldstore.co.uk/all/clothing/gloves.html#%21___SID=U&product_wp=1473 But remember a waterproof lining would be better than just waterproof. Most folks will have at least 2 pairs of gloves wet an d summer. Hth

    Touring tips

This is true, however when i updated my Garmin SATNAV the french camera positions were replaced with a popup which stated "dangerous zones" or similar. there could be a camera somewhere in this area and this is supposedly in accordance with French law

  16. I went to our local tip with the (unbraked trailer) with the best part of half a ton of spoil from levelling the patio. Stopped at the relevant area and started to unload. A recycling operative wanders over and said "there's a 75kg limit" . So I looked at him then at the trailer and said "yep that's about right" and carried on. He walked off and left me to it.
  17. Right. Lots of comments in this thread and I can understand not using the coloured pinlock a at night, but would have thought the clear was ok,(I have not noticed any problems with my clear pinsert), so I sent a support question to Pinlock the response is below. Thank you very much for your e-mail. The clear Pinlock lenses are absolutely suitable to use at night, it is the other way around for the Dark Smoke lenses. It could be not convenient to use those at night because visibility then is really low. My advice for you is if you are struggling with changing the lenses then buy a Protectint lens, because this insert adjusts itself to the amount of UV-light. So at night it will be clear and over day it changes to from light smoke to dark smoke that depends on the amount of UV-light, if the sun is shining of course. I hope this informed you enough, should you have any other questions please feel free to contac tme again. Best regards, Luca de Raad Customer service
  18. Fitted a Healtech unit to mine. It was just plug into diagnostic connector and it works. Main reason was so I know when in neutral. I know the bike has a neutral light but on the 1250's it is a common problem the switch fails. Not the easiest switch to get out to clean, so gave up and bought the indicator. Hasn't stopped me from trying for 7th gear. But I don't stall it any more looking for neutral.
  19. something like that
  20. I hope predictive riding is nothing like the predictive text on my phone.

  22. Ahh pinball
  23. What is this CLEAN you speak of...? We inadvertently went "green laning" on the ride yesterday so currently I have no idea what clean is TOP HOGGS TIP! Sports bikes are not the best thing to go through mud and gravel and sludge filled single track lanes After my trip out in Derbyshire castle hunting last Tuesday i fully concur with the above.
