  1. That's a good idea... awesome - But seriously the new lever had a small extra bit for kwaks and I do wonder if that is somehow responsible (even though it did happen before I swapped them, it wasn't as frequesnt) Also the neutral light doesn't always come on (even though it is 100% in N) so maybe that's connected? Will call you later.
  2. awesome ? No he did not.
  3. How bad was the corrosion on the Pistons? Has the wire brushing put groves on them? We're the seals suitable to be re-used? It may be time for new seals as a minimum. Just a thought.
  4. +1 for Scott oiler
  5. Very happy birthday to TMBF. Stop it Tango you will make us all blush' Except Mawsley who is going Green.
  6. And do you torque the drain bolt up to 43 Nm then Stu
  7. Watts and volts are 2 different things. They can be 12v and any watts rating. The watts is a measure of power. The more watts the more powerful and the more amps drawn from the system. Checking again the Oxford gloves are 13.5w per pair. My mistake in my last post, thought it was each.
  8. If you get 12v at the gloves seems all is OK. Does the voltage rise when the engine is running? Looking at the gloves they are rated at 12watts each. That is not a lot of power, but it seems to be the average for heated gloves so maybe they don't get very hot. As a comparison most heated grips are twice that rating.
  9. Actual photograph of a GS rider http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MVQtGTqNUlg/T-JWSO4PP_I/AAAAAAAAAKU/c_yjwNiVRvQ/s1600/Gold-Homer.png Bonio is not going to like you for that.
  10. Changing the fuse will not make the gloves warmer. The fuse is to protect against overloads and short circuits to prevent damage to the wiring etc. If you have a multi meter check that you are getting a full 12volts to the gloves.
  11. Thought you had in mind a special edition or something to class as "bloody expensive". Because £380 [the dearest one I have found in google search] seems a reasonable price for what it is. Hoggs's is referring to the cost for replacement interior cheek pieces.

  20. When I had the GPX I was in the Kawasaki Riders Forum and a paid up club member. The club was quite active with stands at various shows. The forum and members were fairly laid back and the forum very similar to this, plenty of technical help and banter and members with many different makes of bikes. However the club eventually folded and the forum got quieter and quieter, so I started looking around and found TMBF which seemed to be run in a similar vain. ( passed on lots of other places though) The old KR forum then changed to a FB group and so much technical knowledge was lost especially for the older bikes. It is also very quiet now with no posts since July. So to Stu and the Mods, keep up the good work.
  21. RIP Rick

  23. Depends which Sena you have, but should be easy enough. Think some of the sena's have a second headphone port built in.
