So … I’m on a family holiday so not on the bike & I’ve got all the red telephone box tags that I need, but I couldn’t resist taking this:

So if anyone’s around Truro Lemon Quays anytime, you could bag 4 in one go😁

within the rules but probably not in the spirit of the challenge.

    That’s fine just take 4 photos. 😉

  2. What Russia has said is probably factually correct. There was a fire that may have started in the ammo store which caused a ship wide fire and as a result the ship sank while being towed.

they just left out that the initial cause of the fire starting was the 2 hits from anti ship missiles.

It's a good job it's not retrospective although I expect that's on the cards in the next few decades . Having ridden near the back of a convoy of 30+ Harleys on a summer evening I can report that the fumes made me nauseous and caused my eyes to sting . Still a good laugh though .

If LJ54 is yours @fastbob it will cost you £12.50 per day to drive inside the North and South circular roads in London. The ULEZ areas are catching more and more vehicles. Birmingham are introducing this as well. Not sure if this is why J&S have moved outside the zone.

Great thread, I had noticed a drop in fuel consumption and this explains why. I knew I was doing more short runs than normal, but not so it would affect the MPG as much as it has. I did not know the cold had such an effect.

I’ve noticed on my car that in the summer at tick over the fuel consumption  is approx 0.3 gal/h when started.  When it’s covered in a good frost it’s 0.6. Drops to 0.2 is when fully warmed up.

I remember my mother's '76 mini having the air intake movable so in winter you would point it to the engine block while in summer would be turn away.

Likewise with my 60’s vintage Vauxhall.

Amex also charge for the privilege of having a card which is why I don't have one.

I have a Nectar AmEx card. No annual fee for that.

There is with all cards no matter credit or debit.

One of the worst ones for charges was and probably still is American express. That's why a lot of places won't take it.

Diners is worse than AmEx. Has one as a works credit card. Never found anywhere to take it. When taking clients out we had to get cash from an ATM first.

Believe that in UK should be similar as in EU, pedestrian shall cross the road only on zebra crossing.

But i don’t see them much in UK.

So driver will be aware where legal crossings are, and same for pedestrians.

Than if they are crossing out of  zebra crossing, they fault.

in us you can get fined crossing out of zebra crossing

We have a junior school nearby and there are 2 sets of pelican crossings about 200 yards apart outside the school. And guess what mkst parents seem to think it is fine just to cross anywhere and in zome insrance firce vehickes to take avoiding action. 🙄
