Is it still free for bikes
I presume so as cars have to display a ticket.

And we will be heading into Scotland just as the weather breaks and the rains start.

Yep, my Bandit is cheaper this year.

We were in Florence recently and the e-scooters, e-bikes were a ‘kin nuisance weaving in and out of the pedestrians in pedestrian areas. But too be fair so we’re the mopeds and Vespa type scooters.

Local waste recycling place takes them here
“Recycling” centres in Warwickshire won’t take anything if they get away with it.

Is this the same technology that was reportedly killing motorcyclists in the States, because the forward facing radar, or whatever it is, didn't recognise their presence till it was too late?
Hopefully not. In the States (think it was Tesla) they had forward facing radar for distance and camera to “see” the object. Then the radar was removed as a cost saving exercise. This then meant that though the camera could see the object it didn’t know how far away it was. This led it to think that a close motor bike with twin rear lights was a distant car.
so the self driving car hits the bike and says “ sorry i didn’t see you”.- 2

Jackson's coppice and marsh! West Mids near eccleshall.
I tried and failed to find this last year
tried again today with sat nav, got close, parked in a nice little lay by,
turned phone on, no signal at all
rode around for nearly an hour kept stopping and trying still no signal
asked a postie he sent me back to the original lay by
I've took a pic but not claimed it yet! will do some investigating
I have looked for this on the map ready for a run out and have assumed it is the lay-by off Jackson’s lane.
”///plastic.decisive.boards///“ if you have the what 3 words app.

First assessment of the damage this morning and it seems “fairly” minor. Crash bar ruined, exhaust side pannier ripped off, and handle bar is bent slightly on one side. Incredible really.
Glad that you are generally OK. Hope the bike is sorted soon.

I am languishing with a nasty cough, sore throat and headache. Took the car for its first service this morning and managed to get down a BK Double bacon cheesburger before coming home.
If the missus is really lucky, I may declare a state of emergency and ....(insert pathetic cough)... announce a full blown case of man flu.
Probably Covid. OH had same symptoms coming back from London. Did a test and hey presto positive. I'm negative at the moment and enjoying a bacon sandwich after a good ride out round the cotswolds.

Midges aren't too bad here near Eilean Donan, it's the damm horse flies that are biting.
