1. After washing my bike, I leave it on the side stand and water runs from the base of the rad for ages. It’s generally water caught in the matrix that takes time to run out.
2. no thats called a bodge. don't know why brits hate rtv. ultra black is my friend. its not leaking oil and that all I care about. there is a large difference in quality of bootleg honda parts. the non rebuildible is crap. the one with the brass inlet works well I think I paid 9.50$ for two. at those prices I did not feel bad about ordering a spare. Why do you need a spare. Is the one you have bought c**p and going to need to be replaced in the near future? Just asking.
3. Can you run it till it stops then open the filler cap. If you hear air rushing into the tank, the tank breather is blocked. Is the in line filter a new addition. Ie has the problem only started since it’s been fitted if so filter does not flow enough fuel for the engine. Kink in fuel pipe causing starvation.
4. Not strictly true. With a red line at 9500 my il4 has plenty of torque an power available below 3000 rpm. But it is a 1250 sports tourer.
5. On , prime , reserve ? If the tap has a vacuum pipe to it, ie 3 pipes then fastbob is correct.
6. I would think Top=on=full tank Middle=off Bottom=reserve=nearly empty tank. Just my take.
7. At least they stopped. Just ridden back through Coventry and at 2 separate places cars completely failed to stop for a red light. At one I was about a third of the way across the junction on the green light when a white Jag came through on red. But it was OK as he was turning left to go the same way as me. Bourbons for me please.

Peter Fonda

Yep, the Fonda’s were a big acting dynasty. You may be more familiar with this picture of Jane. From Barbarella.
9. So , under your regime , if I want to go out for a ride on a summers evening after work I'm going to find the roads choked with caravans . From my own observations I think that caravans are very much in decline and the CAMPERVAN is taking over in a big way . True. And as I tow i find my biggest hold up is being stuck behind camper vans, lorries and middle lane hoggers on motorways. Outfits are generally able to tow at the max speed for the outfit it’s just the acceleration is slower. Just changed my car for a 4 wheel drive model and the off the line acceleration with the van on the back surprised me and the cars beside.
10. December 31st. Ish.

17. Have you check the water level? Also is the red light for both temp and OIL. Could it be an oil issue.
18. Except no yellow water proof. My textiles do seem to be waterproof. I have a one piece overall and can confirm they are a pain to put on.
19. Perhaps you are thinking of the Goldwing . That does have reverse gear but it is electrically powered . Yeah you're right. My mate's gold wing has reverse and it's electrically operated. TBH I'm not sure how exactly it works but when I'm wrestling my bike around in a tight parking space he just looks smug and wafts about. Iirc there is a lever that engages a reverse gear that is then operated by the starter motor.
20. Wonder if this will fit?
21. Welcome back to biking XTreme
22. Don’t worry, the OP probably can’t remember what he has bought.
