  1. Soo... what was it? Don't keep us in suspense
  2. I'd be thinking about crap in the carburettors blocking the fuel. Assuming it has carburettors as i can't watch the video right now!

    Fuel

Sources? My money's on them being government/oil company sponsored and just a tad biased Oh, i'm such a cynic
  5. Would the air not rise to the top and collect within the brake fluid reservoir, and then escape into the atmosphere when you take the cap off? Because when you let go of the brake lever, it appears to shut off the reservoir from the rest of the system, at least on my Nissin system...
  6. Yeah because the split links are known for coming off, even on 125s. The most powerful thing i'd dare use a split link on, would be a CG125.
  7. Reverse bleeding, you mean? (then again, my sarcasm-o-meter is tingling...) simply turn the bike upside down and fill from the bleed nipple No, i was thinking of the process where you use a syringe to inject the brake fluid into the system from the bleed nipple on the caliper. Something like that, anyway.

  9. Chain breaker and rivetter unless its got a split link (U clip style) link.
  10. Am probably thinking chuckling will be the last thing you may want to do Yeah, because you could probably get arrested for it. Must... stop... giving... them.. ideas..

    Bike MOT

I wouldn't have paid that, he quoted £7, not £22.

    Bike MOT

I'm also sure that is the maximum they can charge too but as you say many places discount it anyway Yes, it is. £29.65 for bikes is the maximum.

    Bulbs - Help!!!

If an eBay seller's auction says it fits and it doesn't, then get yourself a refund. I wouldn't pay for some other idiot's mistake.
  14. Of course i can and this works great until i get a problem and from that point on every email i send to the company gets ignored. Read about it far too often on the forums, and i'm a naturally suspicious character. At least when you call people things usually get done. That and i quite simply prefer to be able to talk to a company if it becomes necessary. Don't actually mind if it's a foreign outfit providing someone else has tried it first and i can call a standard UK rate number
  15. I'm looking to buy a full DIY pinlock set for my HJC CL-ST helmet from somewhere (as it doesn't currently have the pinlock pins or anything yet). Figured online visor shops are where i need to go to for this, but am struggling to find one i'm happy with. Tried racevisors, but after waiting in a queue to speak to someone they hung up on me straight away, which is the last straw as far as i'm concerned because they mucked me about with a helmet return last time i purchased from them (which was the only time i've ever bought from them). Looked at visorshop, but as the only phone contact number is an extremely expensive to call 070 number i don't want to buy from them. Am not looking to pay way over the odds, so where am i left with?
  16. that must cost you a fair bit? Aye, especially because most leathers are in the region of 1.2 to 1.4mm... Typo?
  17. I found BT45s worked well - no drama which is what it's all about. That said, feel its costing too much for them, so am interested in other ideas at this size.
  18. This. The probability is that the OP means from his overflow pipe under his bike in which case it will be a stuck float / crap in the float bowls - if the above hit it with a blunt object tip doesn't work they need taking apart and the float needle needs to be removed and re-seated after all the crap around it is cleaned out.
  19. I don't have a CG but there's no way my bike would go if you did that, it would cut out as soon as you opened the throttle! Plus the fact that the choke lever is in such an awkward place it's difficult to find when riding. Mine is like Megawatt said - full choke, start bike & leave to run WITHOUT touching throttle, then less choke as the revs pick up on their own. You're actually supposed to rev the CG125 a little bit on choke as the choke adjustment doesn't increase the idle speed which is very unusual for a choke mechanism. I used to find mine often didn't need choke at all though, and even when it did revving proved unnecessary. And there's no need to turn petrol taps off on modern bikes. Leave it on.
  20. Does the whining stop if you hold the clutch in and/or let off the throttle?
  21. Checked the oil level?
  22. I think you're missing one vital thing here guys - The extremely high probability that this will vastly increase the proportion of learner-riders who never go on to the further training - or at best ride around for years on L-plates before eventually being able to afford the rigorous training/tests (if they survive that long). The one-day CBT will be the only training this increasing group of riders will have had. I can't think of a worse thing for the KSI per rider statistics.
