  1. Even though I passed my mod 1 but failed my mod2. I still say the mod 1 is the harder out of the two and the easiest to fail. I was that concerned about getting up to speed on the emergency stop that I got a recorded speed of 62 mph and then had to do the stop. By the way you don't have to stop in the middle of the blue cones on the emergency stop. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. If it's financialy doable Mark, get it done. Sounds like you love your home so it makes sense compared to if it was an investment. Plus there's something about basement rooms that just feels cool. Maybe it's the kid in me seeing it as a highly polished and painted bat cave [emoji38] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. I already had a basement but it only had a 6ft ceiling height and the damp course started around a foot below the ceiling/floor. So I dug small inspection holes every few meters to check if I would need to under pin. Luckily I didn't have too. I tanked the walls using a special membrane thst looks like bubble wrap. This allowed water to drain down into a gutter in the floor that all ran into a small reservoir and then pumped out by an automatic bilge pump from a boat. Plasterboard then covered the walls and a wooden floor was put down. Coast me 4 grand but I did everything myself and dis have to move huge amounts of earth out. Edit: I dug down an extra 3ft. 4. A quick search found these but I don't know how good they are. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B019BT8XCW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1465476328&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=bluetooth+earbuds+wireless&dpPl=1&dpID=412CLxEs%2BwL&ref=plSrch" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  8. My instructor was a grumble about this. He says he's trying to get a group of schools together to take the DSA to court as they are effectively cutting down on the schools end product. According to him, they have been cutting back on the amount of tests available each day and examiners. It all depends how far you're willing to travel too. I failed my mod 2 recently but my instructor has reserved a test for me 14 days later to cover the 10 days which your not allowed to rebook. But at a different test center 40 miles away. 12. The one I like for that is the TOM TOM App now gives verbal warnings when your speeding and when approaching speed cameras and SOME mobiles..... Wanted to try the TomTom app but it kept crashing after install. I'm hoping they release an update soon. Do Garmin do an app? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. I'll just add to this that Here maps seems to be the only app that allows you to leave out motorways all together. Great for anyone on L plates. Co pilot will strongly avoid but can still send you on to motorways. Google maps does do this but not in offline mode. If your using the sat nav to monitor speed, Here maps also has a clearer display. Copilot works a lot smoother though. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  23. Farscape! I used to love that program. Jim Henson at his best, even better thsn the muppets (apart from Animal, no ones better than Animal!). If it wasn't for Star Trek inspiring tech guys, we may never have had mobile smart phones like we do today and other tech. So a new series should push the boundaries and inspire.
