  1. Are you actually not allowed to do wheelies on the road, or is it just frowned upon?

You can get done for it I don't know what it comes under though :? I'm sure someone can shed some light on it

Im going to assume reckless riding or something along those lines. Im guessing most are ok, but as mentioned previously there are plenty of videos showing those who aren't in control at all

  2. Anyone fancy sharing their usernames/tags for a game of whatever? I have quite a few steam games, few battle.net and also Xbox One:P

    Mines are all similar:

    Xbox: W3STBEEF

    Steam: Westbeef

    Battle.net :Westbeef'#2654

    I'm creative, I know

I've got all the blizzard games, playing Overwatch on PC mostly at the minute.

  3. Aye, Feel free to post a picture of how the item arrived and how much of an effort went into the Christmas wrapping but don't reveal the item before Christmas :thumb:

If someone's made a tonne of effort to wrap something well[/b], then that def deserves a picture when it gets to you!

You do know this is going to be a dead give-away to whoever you buy for :D .

    Also it's going to be obvious who Hoggs is gifting to when they get something wrapped in this stuff;

  4. This is what I don't understand. People buy thin and light and lovely looking phones. Then encase them in plastic/rubber cases and put glorified sellotape over the screens.

My phone is as naked as it came out of the box (and I ripped all the plastic film off it). I'm not particullary careful with my phone, but I tend to go at least a year or two without claiming insurance for a broken screen

Most androids are going USB C now. Which even apple are starting to use!

Yeah avoid these, 2 days after getting my new iPhone I stuck one of these on it. I dropped it literally 30 minutes after putting the protector on and the screen smashed, I think if anything the protector made it worse. It probably wouldn't have smashed if I didn't have it on :(.

  5. I've had both ios and android, both have perks and both have disadvantages.

ios is made really simple so anyone can use it, the music management on itune is by far the best available imo.

Android is much less restricted than ios though, you can use them as a mini pc if you want and you can get pretty much any app on it for free if you download the .apk. However the music management on them isn't the best.

  6. This is what I did, it might work for you.

Instead of going the traditional route of taking out a contract I went sim only with my current supplier - threatened to leave etc and got a really cheap deal.

I then went on apple and got an iPhone 6s 64gb on finance over 2 years, the best iPhone available at the time. It works out at 42 quid a month for a deal that would have cost me about 60 a month from a phone shop.

The added perk is, if you buy direct from apple you get 2 year warranty rather than one. So if you have the phone 18 months and the battery goes shit, they'll replace it under warranty 8-) .

  7. Awesome, glad to hear you've found a solution that works for you :thumb:

Aye, it's at least worth attempting this, the price of getting the case off and welded and put back again isn't much less than buying a new case and getting it fitted, I don't have too much to lose giving this a go.

  8. This won't be welded. I agree with Joe, it needs a bodge.

If it were me...I would get all that oil out and drill a hole in the sump plug. In that hole I would make a thread. To that thread I would place a smaller bolt.

Once my bolt inside a bolt is good, I would slap a load of JB weld on the inside of the sump plug hole, and bond the sump plug to the sump with JB weld and fill that crack in.

Once dry and sanded down, you'll have a permanent repair with a removable bolt to keep doing oil changes.

I'm getting a fitting made at work (perks of the job). It's going to screw into the sump, be JB welded into position, and have the correct thread to take a standard plug. Similar to what you suggest but It's just a little easier on my side.

Going to make it out of Mild steel and get it zinc plated so it wont corrode either.

  9. Have you met Beefy?

I thought beefy would try anything as cross dressing was last thing i saw him try

I'm always open to suggestions, but welding is beyond my skill set in the art of breaking shit.

  10. Well the price of a new case is cheaper than a second hand engine so I won't be doing that. Still £250, if this is how much I'm looking at or similar for welding then I have nothing to lose at least attempting a bodge.

  11. Well they're having a bloody laugh

Don't suppose one of them was Rick Stringer motorcycles and the other was Cambridge Motorcycles, by any chance?

To be fair to the one who refused they were honest and said it needed to be welded, but it needs the grade matching and and is quite specialised.
