  1. The first thing I did when I picked up my 125 was turn onto a 70mph dual carriageway, literally I got the bike and within a turn I was on it. It was a little nerve wrecking but I just went straight up to top speed on the bike and felt fine pretty quickly! Maybe you could mention to the instructor you want to have a quick bimble down a 50 road to start? If you're doing 50, you won't even notice the difference between that and 60mph. From there you're lucky to get to 70 on a 125 . Maybe you could even ask if they would let you have a go on the bike's they'd use for a DAS to see how that feels for you.

  2. One thing I'm not clear about is that Trump (and everyone else) is claiming victory, but the RESULTS are not yet in - as far as I can see the outcome being reported is just on 'projections' whatever that means.

Can't we just wait for the actual results, before throwing ourselves of the cliff ??

It's official now, it was projected earlier on.

  3. The problem is - Trump seems like the worst option because he is honest, and his honesty shows that his opinions are totally stupid and he's generally an idiot. Hillary is a total liar and very deceitful, I think they've chose the best of two evils.

  4. Well today was properly wet and the bike felt pretty much spot on, I think I was mainly struggling on right handers before and the handling issue was me not being able to get the bike over that way easily. With the alignment sorted it felt much more stable! Thanks all, pretty stupid thing for me to miss  .

  5. the joys of a 10 mile commute with 8 miles in a straight line.

Weave between the cats eyes, no more straight roads :D

I wish, its all 30mph road :( and given my recent handling issue, I think I would poo myself if I weaved too far :D.

My alignment was 1mm out on the scale, Ive got them practically bang on now, hopefully everything is good again!

  6. I think you may be right tango, the joys of a 10 mile commute with 8 miles in a straight line. Ill see on Wednesday how much fixing the alignment helps :).

  7. Alignment is out, going to have to sort it when I get home. It's quite a bit out actually, I thought last time I tensioned the chain I had set it correctly. It looks like I haven't and it's even out on the notches . I'm going to sort it when I'm home and see if that improves things.

Depending on how much time / milage has past it may still feel odd as tyre will have scrubbed slightly to that track .

If it's happened when I think it did then 300-500 miles I reckon.

  9. Conti Gos are utter shite in the wet! If they're all that you can get for the CBF, it sounds like upgrade time to me... :thumb:

:) DAS first, then upgrade. Early new year and I should be on with it.

  10. pretty much what Tim said

    What tyres are they?

ContiGo's, apparently the best choice out of two options for this bike.

I've seen them nicknamed Conti Let-Go's quite a few times, due to their apparent wet weather performance. I have them on my YBR too :|

What are your other options? The go-to tyre for the YBR is apparently the Michelin Pilot Sporty

Yeah I have seen they arent the best. My tyres are 80/100-17 and 100/90-17

Apparently these are oddball sizes and its either ContiGo or TSV and the latter being extremely bad. That was when I was researching the bike in March. I don't know if there are more options now.

  11. usually the bike steering to one side is a tell tale sign

Its more than likely just in your head from the off

I am a big fanny in the wet!

I'm sure it's 95% my head, I was just hoping I could man up a bit after this long. My dad took it out and said it was fine after the off. I always wonder if most bikes are a bit shit in the wet and they all feel a little loose.

  12. Ok, i didn't think it would be but I can rule it out. I am hoping its just a simple over adjustment of the rear brake. How would my front being misaligned affect things?

  13. Well whilst I'm at work and we have 6 Meter lengths of hydraulic tube, I'll use them for a quick easy check over my dinner and see how it looks. It can't be that far out from the indicators on the adjuster can it? I've measured the distance from the nuts on the rear axle to the back of the indicator slot to make sure it's the same distance when setting mine in the past.

  14. I know I've been searching for something else but the stupid sizes of these tyres means I'm stuck. What's the best way to check my alignment? I might have messed that up when I changed my chain & sprocket. I may just have to get it aligned properly by a garage, that gonna be expensive?

  15. Thanks Tim, Ive wound of the brake a little now to see if that improved anything and I obviously need to check the alignment and forks. Whats the best way to do this, I understand the markings aren't the best method on confirming alignment.

Below is a pic of the tyre which has plenty left.
