  1. Learn something new everyday. Yeah on paracetamol with this as well and going through them like smarties! Just waiting for my prescription prepayment card to come through so can get a load free Got a 30 day supply now of long lasting ones so hopefully back to normal now. Made mistake when I wasn't sleeping properly of doing my morning / night dose at 8am/8pm, now I'm sleeping better it's a pain in the butt getting up at 8 just to take tablets and then not be doing anything so think I'll have to charge timings
  2. I found that taking two or three of those with paracetamol did the trick Always thought paracetamol was such a pointless drug never did anything for me until I had it by IV... massive difference May grind some up and mix it in with blood thinner injection
  3. I'll set off now may get there by Christmas Have got codeine and tramadol in my backup supplies but wary of taking them as don't know how it will mix with the morphine, luckily still got bottle of that for instant relief it's just the long lasting ones I'm out of so nights and mornings have been a nightmare. Should be ready anytime soon though
  4. You can where I live , how's the leg doing? F***ing painful, ran out of pain meds over weekend and over zealous doctors receptionist wouldn't allow someone else to pick it up for me said I have to pick it up in person But... They are sending to pharmacy for me and pharmacy said someone else can pick up from there just won't be ready until later today
  5. Can you get normal broom handles now? All mine are plastic with hanging hooks on the end, as I always hang my brooms up rather than leaning against the wall
  6. Building materials are classic for this, just did an order for work. 4" 3.6m posts, 1kg of 4" nails, 3.6m x 3.5"x1.5" Rails. Metric has its advantages like a litre of water is 1Kg but sometimes a mix just works. Yeah got a load of 2.6m 2x2" in garage but that works lol have seen 4x2 and 2x2 written in metric before and was totally confused metal even more fun bought some 6m 1x1" 1.25mm thick box section. But surely that is what we should be about, using what works and what people understand rather than 1 rigid system purely for uniformity.
  7. I totally agree with the mixture and use a mix myself constantly, said similar before on a thread from a few months ago about the mixture in wheel and tyre sizes. I use whatever is better at the time to articulate compared to what I want to do. Cutting 2 inches off is easier than cutting 50cms off and putting a hole 7.5mm from edge is more accurate than 5/16" And the whole mph to kph is pointless, why go through all the expense in changing signs no-one pays attention to anyway
  8. Happy birthday!

Everyone has issues just not the issue
  10. If you get fuel flowing with pipe pulled off and then reconnect to carb (without turning tap off - will be bit messy) does flow stop? Also weird you have to fiddle with tap when pulled off, if there was a problem with it flowing into carb should still have flowed as soon as you pulled off the carb, maybe bit of a temperamental tap?
  11. Dread to think what their next insurance bill will be

  13. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6394979076301471744 Not sure if you'll be able to see that without linked in so will duplicate explanation here... Small video of someone in full leathers on sports bike (yeah sorry not able to identify I'm sure someone else can) being held up as they set off to then just wobble and fall straight off. Flicking past yesterday and just thought it was a comedy video of someone messing up, today I actually bothered to read the story behind it... The rider is Claire Lomas and has no sensation from chest down, the video was from one of her early attempts a couple of years ago and is now attempting this summer to do a full lap of the isle of man TT circuit. She's said her knees have to be velcroed to the bike and toes clipped to shifter to stop slipping off (bike is not modified, normal manual bike). To stop she has to ride towards someone who will then catch her as she stops. Will dig a bit more into it but just from that post wanted to share! Plus a big to all those that struggled with gears and clutch control with the ability to feel them (me included!)
  14. That's one thing I've never broken life's too short to be a twat Yeah wire speed can be a pain it's all in the sizzle
  15. just when I think everyone's run dry
  16. Yeah but don't think I can weld in bed
  17. Down for maintenance but had a Google Does look nice though. Been tempted to get a tig but for amount I do have held off (for now)
  18. never even thought of looking for one, bet it's not cheap though - not going to even look or I'll be too tempted! Got a really old mig welder now I bought from a friend following their dad's passing, best welder I've ever owned! Absolute beast of a machine. Also got a pre ww2 bench drill, again runs smooth as anything, changed chuck for a keyless one but otherwise not needed a thing doing to it. Really don't make tools like they used to!
  19. Yeah that's my thought, given mine plenty of stick but at same time such a hassle now to run extension out to them cut one bolt and put it back so a battery one would be great for odd small job Then I just need to find a battery powered welder and I'm sorted
  20. Tbh still got my £20 B&Q special angle grinder, does it's job but funnily enough a battery powered one is on the list. Tools are my nemesis, barely got any space left in garage certainly not enough to ever get a car in it just about squeezed in ER5
  21. Before buying it was checking all the reviews of main ones and Milwaukee and Dewalt ones very much on par so went with Dewalt purely because already got Dewalt drill and driver so can interchange batteries. Definitely worth it's weight in gold made everything so much easier.
  22. If rusty color then more than likely water in it too so I'd dump what's in tank as otherwise once carb cleaned you'll be dumping dirty petrol straight back in. Nice clean fuel and cleaned carb should do the job and cheap fix
  23. It's a royal pain in the @$$ normally have to run out an extension lead and got a portable spot light that I normally hang from ceiling for lighting. Most of my tool chargers are now indoors which is not ideal either. When I had to charge ER5 battery I ended up taking that indoors as well so I could leave it for a decent time, can't really leave extension lead over path unattended for too long. One thing I really miss from previous house!
