  2. What a lovely old tune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs_DD_7C ... NM7crnsRq2
  3. Motorcycle shows in google brought forth this http://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid= ... 40&bih=648
  4. Clutch cable may have stretched.
  5. Needs doing regularly, It depends if you park it outside. Weekly for outside parking, monthly for garage parking. Rally season, before you set off every time. My indicator switch gets a shot too.
  6. Copper slip the back of the pads. Piston and pad can squeak annoyingly. If that don't shift it , remove headlight and check for mice
  7. Bump http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot_1MHbF ... re=related
  8. Try making some underpants out of bubble wrap
  9. Under acceleration the weight shifts to the back wheel making the front light. An extreme case of this would be a wheelie. The front is then hop, skip and jumping along the road reacting to all the little undulations and anomalies. There seems to be nothing wrong with the front end so either a damper or ease off the throttle tiger
  10. Tools and equipment should be looked at as investments. For the amount of time a tool lasts added to the number of times it will be used compared to the lost time by not having one multiplied by the minimum wage hourly rate, they are a bargain. A decent charger will last a lifetime. This won't be the last problem you have with a battery
  11. A smear of clear silicone under any tape wrap can help keep the weather out.
  12. Yes it does pay to read through disassembly and reassembly instructions, check all the relevant pics and drawings and check you've got all the parts and tools you need before starting any job. It helps to learn the names of the things you'll need. Nothing like ringing a parts dept and asking for the little round thing that goes in the watsit behind thingummy
  13. I can buy a tumble dryer for less than £300
  14. I think dismantling a carburetter might be a little complicated for some one who can't operate the choke lever. Don't bite off more than you can chew and cause more problems than you've already got.
  15. Don't tighten the head bearings to give you a stiffer feel. If they are so tight you will get premature failure. Front wheel off the ground in a stable position and adjust the setup till there's no lateral play, but free movement in a rotary motion. Check for a notchy feel at this time. There's another thread about head shake. It can be caused by something as simple as wrong tyre pressure or uneven tyre wear. If you need stiffer steering , a damper is the way to go imo
  16. Won't the bread go stale, and won't it taste funny after your trip?http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z28/Colin_the_bear/sick0025.gif
  17. I'm not mystic Meg but I can see a future post. " My bike lurched forward when I started it in gear and I fell off "

    Tank Repair

Don't they do vacuum pullers for pulling out this sort of ding. And may I add that if you're getting a dent in the tank just in front of your crotch, you're enjoying the bike in a totally inappropriate wayhttp://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z28/Colin_the_bear/animated-smileys-matrix-002.gif

  20. Oil your leathers , then put them in the cupboard and take the car
  21. Is it worth getting it repaired. Therer's lots of matrix repair shops listed on the web. I've had a few land rover and car heater matrixes redone. Have a chat with these guys. http://phoenixradiators-autocentre.co.u ... nditioning. This stuff is pretty amazing and may be worth a try. http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Tools%20 ... fAodEgkkkw
