  1. What a lovely old tune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs_DD_7C ... NM7crnsRq2
  2. If the occassion arrived where all four of these girls were throwing themselves at me and I had to pick........ I'd be off for flying lessons without a plane because I'm obviously in a side prgramme of "The Matrix" http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z28/Colin_the_bear/emoticon-object-057.gif
  3. Motorcycle shows in google brought forth this http://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid= ... 40&bih=648
  4. Clutch cable may have stretched.
  5. A bit tame for me Found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z9tK0eW ... re=related
  6. Needs doing regularly, It depends if you park it outside. Weekly for outside parking, monthly for garage parking. Rally season, before you set off every time. My indicator switch gets a shot too.
  7. Copper slip the back of the pads. Piston and pad can squeak annoyingly. If that don't shift it , remove headlight and check for mice
  8. Bump http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot_1MHbF ... re=related
  9. I hate those damn automated checkouts. I must go a bit slow for the programme and it keeps nagging me. Unexpected item in bagging area Yep it's my hand you...............bloody machine
  10. Maan! That sounds really good. Oh! Wait! I'm listening through my £24.99 errr...rubbish?http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z28/Colin_the_bear/nene.gif I can't see the point of 5.1 surround sound. Ok a sub woofer is good and apparently you can't identify the direction of low frequencies. However you only have two ears. I remember doing a blindfolded hearing experiment at School. There's a line around the head where sound direction sounds the same. Doesn't matter if it's in front behind or above. The brain uses other senses to put it in context. The sound card on the pooter has a virtual surround sound effect and I've been out twice to see who was messing with the car till I clicked on. The telly has a similar effect and I rushed upstairs cos I could hear somebody talking in the bedroom. Or maybe the house is haunted or I'm going daft or perhaps all three
  11. You don't always get top quality for top price stuff. I like top quality for as little as possible. £450 for a pair of speakers that need an amp isn't something I'd be interested in , ever. I've been playing the Mp4 and the lap top through this active pair. I'm impressed. They don't need an amp and take up hardly any room ,10" tall. And by the way I'm not on commission.
  12. Try making some underpants out of bubble wrap
  13. Just bought myself a pair of these http://www.maplin.co.uk/active-speakers-27962 They don't look pretty but they pack a punch and make the pooter sound great. And only slightly more expensive than the tinny 5w junk they replaced. 60w they reckon. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z28/Colin_the_bear/smiley-music003.gif
  14. You can always make some carbons by filing down a larger set to fit.
  15. Under acceleration the weight shifts to the back wheel making the front light. An extreme case of this would be a wheelie. The front is then hop, skip and jumping along the road reacting to all the little undulations and anomalies. There seems to be nothing wrong with the front end so either a damper or ease off the throttle tiger
  16. Tools and equipment should be looked at as investments. For the amount of time a tool lasts added to the number of times it will be used compared to the lost time by not having one multiplied by the minimum wage hourly rate, they are a bargain. A decent charger will last a lifetime. This won't be the last problem you have with a battery
  17. Try that uniform dating site they keep banging on about on the telly
  18. A specialist repairer, like I used to be, would sort you out. A lot of parts aren't made available to the public so we can make a livin' Some motors are made so cheaply that by the time the brushes are worn out the armature and bearings are shot. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z28/Colin_the_bear/128fs395770.gif
  19. A smear of clear silicone under any tape wrap can help keep the weather out.
  20. Yes it does pay to read through disassembly and reassembly instructions, check all the relevant pics and drawings and check you've got all the parts and tools you need before starting any job. It helps to learn the names of the things you'll need. Nothing like ringing a parts dept and asking for the little round thing that goes in the watsit behind thingummy
  21. I used to be trade. What make/model is it? Have a look here http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/Tools%20 ... fAodEgkkkw
  22. I think dismantling a carburetter might be a little complicated for some one who can't operate the choke lever. Don't bite off more than you can chew and cause more problems than you've already got.
