I work permanent nights as a CNC machinist and nothing makes time fly, infact lately the nights seem longer so best thing is not spending as much time there. Days would be worse tho.

That would be determined by the length of wait, most of the time I either roll up in neutral or a gear not necessarily 1st, and 99.9 % of the time stop using front brake. Only hold back brake if its a hill.

Let's be honest stu, the police are well aware that the large majority of road users speed every time they get in a vehicle, I'm sure they don't need to be reading forums to gather evidence for anything, hell even coppers speed. I have them on mine they seem fine, no different to the bt023's I had, might just need to change the front next year rather than both as the shoulders are already showing signs of wear.

The issue here is not the cost as much as someone deciding that someone else's habit/addiction or even the way they want to live their own life legally is their business. I stopped after a few failed attempts without gum patches or a hypnotist as I wanted the health benefits, I also very rarely drink these days either but it was my choice. People will go on about cost to the NHS but that's a slippery slope as we all have lifestyle choices that contain risk. Could it be argued that the cost of more people living longer is going to do more harm, we already see a rise in retirement age. Will these pastimes eventually become only available to the rich? There was an article in the news this week stating the poor are more likely to die of cancer, they put that down to smoking maybe its stories like that that drive initiatives like this? Anyway I suppose while they talk of this they are leaving other shit alone.

Joeman is right pretty much no one sticks to the limit on motorways to the point where personally I think your in more danger if you do. These managed motorways if used properly will be fine if used for dirty tricks they will become dangerous, I think Roy and I fell foul the other day, motorway almost clear travelling at motorway speed gantry said 40 low and behold speed camera one, no reason for it to be 40...flow of traffic is fine with this crap they cause panic breaking. Just come back from a high speed blast across Europe no bother even with tail backs and only 2 lanes no stress till you hit UK. Speed limits in this country are a joke.

Just to add I don't know whats wrong but I had an aerox 50 back in 99 derestricted. it was more than fine till speeds above what it said on the speedo and it stopped fine. Carry on.

Ian and sue will probably be going there, they go every year lol I'm going nowhere, the only holidays I take are bike trips, I'm also glad I don't have to worry about the bullshit with kids and school, I was always allowed to take them during term time not that we went often its really not my thing fortunately wife hates flying so alls good
