  1. Tho I'm not saying its right but if you or anyone took a child on the back and came off at speed what they were wearing might not make a difference. If he did what he said and even tho he need not explain himself the child may have a worse accident falling off a push bike.. I've taken the kids for a little ride round without all the gear knowing it would be a one off admittedly they were a lot older, its quite possible there safer on the back of some riders while clad in swimwear than they would be with others in top level armour He looks well chuffed in the picture!
  2. I had a prod at the front tyre and did notice the flexibility tbh, but can't really say till I take them down my test road in anger They will have to beat my old bridge stones tho for handling otherwise they will be the only pair I buy. But I know the main thing about tyres is what they do to your head and that's why we all choose different, if it didn't have an effect we'd all be on the same.
  3. Got some pr3's fitted today so I'll see how they are.
  4. That relieves the pressure then lol
  5. Can you get pilot road 2's still its what I have on at the moment and there's nothing particularly wrong with them.
  6. I know a friend of mine couldn't wait to get the Dunlop's off his r1. Fact is on all sorts of bikes pr3's haven't had a bad word said against them.
  7. So people still believe there's some kind of coating that needs wearing off? If there was surely due to how a tyre works it would scrub off immediately or would still be present till you'd leant to the edge regardless?
  8. Too true stu lol Its more of a what did you have in mind time? Place? etc If you want to meet up I'm game, basically the motivation I actually need to drag my ass out the house
  9. Well if I get up I'll be heading to bike tyres Leeds in barick in elmet on sat morning.
  10. I'll be getting some pilot road 3 soon, we like to push on, I've had a blade my mates run r1's and a gixxer thou and use sport touring tyres without any concern with handling. I would say these days there more than enough and perfect for today's roads. What price difference is there between 3 and 4's?

    Mixing tyres

I also got told once your ok with a grippier front but its not advisable to have a grippier rear tyre. At least I think it was that way round seems to make sense that way round

    Mixing tyres

I personally don't think its a good idea, its not something I've ever done. How much could a possible accident cost compared to what around £100 quid for a tyre, I don't see the point. Confidence where tyres are concerned a lot of it is in the head every little slip you might blame on mixed brands.
  13. Didn't notice that lol Wow by a long way too
  14. seems nakagami was disqualified ffs for an illegal air filter, someone in that team needs a kicking!
  15. I was surprised at this when I checked out the rules, less penalties for bad choices.
  16. I've always had a problem with this statement personally as a non super human I don't have the power to see round bends so chances are the speed would need to be walking pace unless you actually have direct line of sight
  17. Even with BT sport? No you'll be fine with BT Sport Good no surprises then.
  18. Lol, wait to you try and watch it on telly, or try and get a tv schedule of what time its shown, I think there's going to be a lot of upset people! Even with BT sport?
  19. Yeah I didn't think to do that to be honest, that's what I'll do next time. It was rush hour town traffic though so it's not as if she would have even got very far! If traffics built up couldn't you just filter away?
  20. At least while they're still talking about this they're not trying to interfere in some other aspect of our lives. Hate pretty much everything about this nanny state mentality!
  21. Are they not both cat food brands? To the OP: Ride in the manner that makes you feel comfortable. There's plenty of summer ahead to allow you to develop your own style. What feels right to you is way more important than what looks right to others, imo. Here's a first, ...this^^^^^
  22. Not only that but now it might only take a couple of cheap riders to come to the front and the comp could be over, looking at wsbk this year it could have actually made for a decent competition.
  23. What a crock of shit, nice dumbed down version. Lucky dip Spaniards lol Doesn't really matter Duane these classes change so much past performance isn't as big an indicator
  24. I remember back in the day having a similar conversation with my mother over getting an air rifle, she said no so I went and got one...too late then. Your old enough just tell her your doing it, she has to deal with the fact your growing up so that's her problem not yours, your life lead it how you want or regret it later....that goes for married life too.
  25. I heard a bloke down the pub say you should always ise 70:30... I know the same bloke down the pub that claims never to use his rear brake. Never seen him on his bike though. That's kind of me, yes all this 50/50 70/30 is bull with differing discs calipers etc you'll never know, but I don't use my back brake, I know others that don't other than as s handbrake, I only actually use it on the move to clean up the disc so it won't fail the mot. Yes I know you shouldn't tell noobs that they shouldn't use it but as you gain experience you will learn what works for you. I thought before remove my rear brake I could go on a rideout remove the front I am not going anywhere.
