  1. Popped into Bournemouth Kawasaki this morning for breakfast, and speaking to Pete about this little 400, he's already sold 3 on pre order, and has a demo one coming as well!!! No time scale as to when they will arrive on these shore's as yet, but I have told him to book me a test ride
  2. Yea that's the problem, I always looked forward to retiring and just riding the bike more, now I'm retired I'm knackered!!!! Bit's keep going wrong and I never seem to have the energy. But saying that 3 of us doing the SWSPR, and 4 doing the Welsh, which I actually found easy last year with the new format!
  3. Are you doing the South West Rally this year? If so will have to keep a eye open for you. And there's nothing wrong in being focused, just fills up the bloody shelves a bit And missus hate's cleaning them all!!!
  4. Cor, getting paid for what I love doing, that's a bonus in life!!
  5. Happy Birthday @Mississippi Bullfrog
  6. HaHa did my first online quote last year for a laugh, £148.00 no breakdown cover and that was for 1 VFR800!!!!!, and my VFR's works out about £35 each with Peter James, been with them since he split from Footman James, I know sometimes peoples quotes are miles different to what you think they should be, but give them a bell.
  7. Hi @Bianco2564, ever thought you need to change your insurance company? I was with Carole Nash for about 15 years, until prices kept going up, try Peter James insurance, because everything you have is a classic, so I would have thought they would be well cheaper [depending on your age etc], but currently paying £130.82 for 2 x VFR800, 1997/2000, 1 X SV1000 2004, and the CBR400RR, 1988. Fully comp with European and UK breakdown cover, and no mileage restriction's. And yes adding a newer bike can increase the premiums, because the R1 is classic so should be cheap cheap.

    Dry Jan?

Well today didn't bloody help, mate turn's up this morning, come on he say's taken you out for a breakfast!! So pop's over to Bournemouth Kawasaki's cafe, I did decline a breakfast and settled for Bacon sandwich. Anyway arrived back to my place and he pop's the boot lid open, here's something for getting my FJR running last week 24 cans of Lager!!!!!!!!!! . Kind I know BUT!!!!!!! And to top that the wife came home from the only day she works now, and cuts the bloody Christmas Cake! HELP!!! Trouble is I've always had a sweet tooth and I can't say NO!!

    Dry Jan?

HaHa I would be dead trying to eat what's in this house!!!! Sister in law, makes around 300 mince pies, and we end up with over 100!! + she makes a Christmas Cake for each of the family, so there's a bloody big cake that's not even been looked at here!! Every day we go round the mother in laws {which is most days at moment} we get Mince pies and Christmas cake stuffed on a plate!!!!!!!! And I think I got 4 tubs of Celebrations from mates, mind you some have long date's, so we take them when we go on holiday's during the year.
  11. Hi @Hoggs, Cheers for setting up another year, just a quick question, the Naughty names, I take it as many as you can find over the year!!! Or is that 10? 15? + Bonus.

    Dry Jan?

Well I might do!! Think I drunk and ate to much over Christmas. But had a blood test today and reckon doc's not going to be to happy with me. So I might try to stay off the lager for awhile, and I suppose the chocolate's, cake's, mince pies etc etc!!! Could end up being a boring January
  13. Number 52 for me please.
  14. Hi @Martynbrooks, try a company I've used a few times, very helpful. www.allensperformance.co.uk, phone no 01949 836733. They should be able to help you.
  15. True, or you could just do counties beginning with letters, like A, B, C, etc etc.
  16. Yep 2 in Wales + 1 near M6 motorway and 2 more you couldn't find, Can't believe I never got back to Wales!! If you are stuck for Tag's, which I doubt if you are. How about 10 county signs.
  17. You shouldn't lose your no claims if the accident was proven to be the other persons fault!! I had a accident in my Van in 2021 and the insurance company suspended my no claims because it was on a roundabout, the other driver ran into nearside of van exiting the roundabout!!!!!! Anyway it took a year before he admitted liability, luckily the damage only came to £1600, but in the mean time my premium went up on renewal, because of lost of no claim. At the end insurance company reinstated my no claims, and refunded my money. And van went to who I wanted to do the repairs instead of some insurance spray shop run by monkeys who seem not to be able to spray!!!!! But yes you shouldn't lose your No Claims, I would fight that with your insurer's.
  18. Well even I must admit defeat this year!! When @Hoggs stuck the AA box challenge on this year I was well up for it. But sadly other things have not been going in our favour this year, so I'm sorry to say we are done points wise! But hopefully next year we can get it back together again and spend some more time on the bike Our worse year in 14 years of doing Photo rally's, never completed one competition!!! And feel free to stick the AA box challenge on again, still got 5 to do. But again thanks for organising everything and look forward to next year
  19. Well we still hope to finish off the AA box's, but it's a 665mile round trip!! Can't do this week maybe next week, watch this space!!!!!
  20. Gave it a quick wipe over as it's not been out for a couple of weeks!! And because it's 25years old since it was registered in the UK So now eligible for VMCC events
  21. Happy Birthday @Mickly
  22. Just watched the last race, it was interesting!! to say the least, Started the year with Rins in my team, wish I had him at the end. Made up a couple places at the end, so happy with 3rd, sorry 5th!! Who ever the top 2 are? Anyway congratulations @Hoggs, for 3rd. [1st]. And yes like you bloody pissed off when Ai ogura binned it again!! Loved the Japanese riders in the 80's and 90's so much talent years ago.
  23. Yep managed to get and rearrange my riders, finger's crossed might gain a few place's, but knowing there year, probably end up in the kitty litter .
  24. Leaving this behind to travel back to the cold and wet UK
