  1. I know there was one in New Forest, but don't know name. Also know there is one in Avebury I'm just wondering where the kind of pubs we can ride to, and loads of other bikers do the same ... (by biker I mean a general biker, not just a hell's-angel kind ...)
  2. Used for first time this weekend - really good
  3. Sorry ragdoll If I was to get a helmet, it would need to be medium
  4. So silver will be clearer (lighter), but still filter out the sun as well as a dark ... if that makes sense. Don't quite get what you mean ... you'd go for dark or silver? You seemed to change your mind mid sentence Thanks mate - appreciated **edit PG quote (i cant spell )
  5. U mean clearer as in not as dark? I want it to replace sunglasses ... if that makes sense ... so dark is good I have an HJC CS-R1 Samuri http://www.helmetcity.co.uk/HJC-CS-R1-Samurai_0_0_114A1.jpg It looks redder on other side ...
  6. OKay then, the question now arises Dark tint, mirorred, rainbow? etc Am I more likely to be pulled with a mirror/rainbow? Are mirrored/rainbow ones dark like sunglasses? Are they harder to clean? Thanks
  7. I made mine just now, they seem really quiet, comfy, and you can get helmet on easy. Plus you get enough for 3, so I can have two normal and one for a headphone ... Haven't ridden with them yet, but happy so far
  8. Ah - I see, makes sense thanks Do you get points, or just a £30 fine?
  9. Thanks philgale - I missed that Isn't it silly carrying a clear one? what does it prove? I don't get it. Couldn't you just flip visor up if police asked? U guys go for mirrored or tint? Thx
  10. Gotcha They don't have the HJC CS-R1 though
  11. Surely if I get pulled by police I wont have time to change it anyway ??? Thanks for link
  12. For an HJC CS-R1 ?? Also, do you guys stick with < 50% darkness (i.e. legal) ... is that enough to replace sunglasses? The other day I went out, it was sunny, I have a clear visor, my glasses kept fogging! Thanks
  13. In the ear ones don't agree with me (will get bad ears) so I've got some on order Will let you know ...
  14. Have a mate who says he uses this and it works, but I'm not so sure if a) it works b) it's not gonna blank my plate if a police car has lights on behind me Comments? Thx
  15. Does that mean claim against insurance, or claim against rider? IMO that's what the insurance is there for, but I could be wrong
  16. OKay, to keep the debate open. As someone else suggested, what about my "include pillion" cover on insurance ??
  17. Interesting that this is general concensus .... giving me somethink to think about
  18. Really? That's awful. I don't get some people. Maybe I wont get one then ... at least I need to think Thanks for that
  19. Hmmmn, sad that people may actually do that. I know my mates wouldn't do that. For example, my brother wanted a ride over xmas. Or my best mate often gets lifts to work with me ... Is everyone as paranoid (or perhaps realistic?) as you? Interested to see what others do Thanks mate
  20. I have my Helmet (HJC - L) and have bought one for my girlfriend (RST - XS). However, from time to time I may want to take other people on my bike, so need another helmet. Silly spending silly money, so was thinking of getting a new helmet online, something cheap. No point trying on as it's for different people. http://tinyurl.com/9jtcdu Here are some HJC ones : 1. anyone any cheaper sources for new lids? (these are £37 inc postage) 2. Would a M suit most people (i.e. average) 3. What do you guys do? (my mates gives people his old ones, for example) Thanks
  21. About tha same as I paid HJC CS-R1 helmet = £100 RST textile trousers = £100 RST textile jacket = £70 (reduced from £130 or £150) RST gloves = £30 Nitro Swift Boots = £30 (from Ebay, new and wrapped) TOTAL = £330 I also got a back protector for £90 Will post some pics soon
  22. It's a TomTom One But the battery is sh1t, so it needs power too. I may just get the Nokia and a spare battery. I want something easy, that way I can just put it in my pocket and go ... much better than having wires and stuff. Can't be rsed with that Does anyone do it like I'm suggesting?
  23. 3 hours - not cool If I'm mounting to tank, and having power from battery, I may as well adapt my TomTom ... no?
  24. Thx mate - not quite as plug-and-play as I'd like. I was liking teh idea of sticking the mobile in my pocket, job done. Will have a think Cheers
