  1. I always used the AA. Not the cheapest, but always had good service from them. They cover the person for any vehicle too. Even if you are riding in someone else's car.
  2. My wife had a Honda Camino for a little while to get to work. It would top out at about 25MPH. They are only about 3hp, so will struggle up steeper hills.
  3. yes I would definitely change the fork oil. It's something that always gets overlooked as it's a pain removing the forks to do it correctly.
  4. They still say straight line roundabouts if it's safe. Especially in bad weather. You don't want to be leaning over further than needed in icy conditions.
  5. Lexmoto do a rack, but it looks like it's out of stock. You could try emailing them.
  6. I can't find any pictures of this model with a rack, only grab bars. If you do have a rack, most cheap top box will come with a mounting kit. This bolts directly to the rack. More expensive models like Givi, you will need to purchase a mounting plate.

Looking on the fowlers website now, it does not list that part for any other bikes. Perhaps the other site I looked at was wrong. Flowers list the needle as part number 16012KRHD21.
  8. Two cool bikes we can't buy because of emissions.

  11. Years ago the boxing day sales had some real bargains. But now sales go on all year. I remember when I was a kid, massive queue outside shops waiting to open on boxing day.
  12. More cafe than racer. To me it looks more like it's built for sunny summer lanes. Which is okay. A British winter and the finish would really suffer. Especially with no real front mud guard. Some good bikes aimed at this section of the market. With the Suzuki SV cafe, and XSR Yamaha 700. It's funny they all are virtually identical for power too.

A lot of the carbs on eBay are Chinese knock off, not to oem quality. It's very hit and miss. The needle jet kit is no longer available from honda. I would rather buy a used genuine carb. At least then you would know exactly what parts to order if they are worn.
  14. A small piece of masking tape over said light will stop it. Perhaps a shorting of the actual led? Bad earth perhaps. That can throw up random problems. Though it's strange it's not displaying a fault code.

If it's still in the warranty period I wouldn't be happy with that. But if it's an older bike waiting for a part which isn't available. Not much you can do. Really need more information.
  16. Certain bikes are definitely cheaper come winter time. Unfortunately 125's are pretty steady money wise. Your best chance is to get a bike already registered by a dealer. They will register models now to clear stock for newer models coming in. Often the only change is colour wise, but you save a few quid. Only downside is you will be the second owner on the log book. But still own a new bike.
  17. It does feel very strange riding a bike without a fairing if you are not used to it. When I first got my hornet it was very noticeable. It felt like I was going to be blown off the back. Very different to the gsxr. It is something you get used to. So much so that I never really noticed it anymore. I could do a couple of hours at 90 before it became a problem. Your body adapts to the stress if you ride regularly. Above 120 it felt like my head was going to come off. But that's why I brought it. It felt much more involving to ride.
  18. Yes it will be like speed cameras. Only originally used in accident black spots, now everywhere. I can see the need for them too. Some places like the ace cafe have been telling people for years to be sensible. With little change.
  19. "Unlikely to be in B roads in the country side." So the first one trailed by the government was near Loomies not in a very populated area.
  20. I remember seeing that when it originally came out. Just stupidity from both sides.
  21. You can order it from Fowlers, it's number 13. https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/5452342/ybr125ed-2014-51d3-europe-black-metallic-x/meter
  22. See there has been a donation page set up for him now. Was £80,000 when I had a look.
  23. That just sums it up for us. Their injuries wouldn't of been so bad if they had helmets on. But they took them off, so the police wouldn't chase them.
