  1. short term fix is just stall the bike to shut it off
  2. New bike problems, you'll get used to it. Thing with heavy bikes is you got to know the limits; go to parking lots and practice turns, know what you can and cant do before hitting the road.
  3. It depends on the DB level, I personally dislike bikes that have obnoxiously loud exhausts (straight pipe) would even be better if camera was only operates during specified hours e.g 1-6am
  4. They all seemed reasonable answers to your question. Sorry didnt mean to demean anyone; just felt a bit dumb asking that. Maybe I shouldve added an emoji next time
  5. jeez based on the response im guessing ill use my car's blinker fluid to flush out my bike's indicator then
  6. Time to flush my brake fluid soon! I was wondering if any dot 4 brake fluid will work for motorcycles or does it to be specifically designed for motorcycles? *i used synthetic car engine oil and my clutch wont slipping so was wondering if the same applies to brake fluids
  7. The bike does not creep, although wheels do rotate slowly on a paddock stand with the clutch pulled in?
  8. ive just checked the owners manual and it said I should use 10W-30
  9. another issue with my CB125F, I recently noticed how after riding for around 20 minutes, gear shifts get a bit stiffer and not smooth (sometimes getting from N to first is impossible & 1 to second always goes to neutral despite how hard to kick). *bike shifts super smooth just after starting an slowly gets stiffer I used 5W-30 synthetic oil instead of 10w-30, could this be why? Or is the bike just inherently like so? Thanks!
  10. remove all the fairings and turn it into a stunt bike
  11. isnt waving a US thing since we drive on the wrong side of the road?
  12. think theres a place to .gov website to check for ulez using ur reg
  13. Primarily depends on your age at this stage. Below 18 is likely to be near a grand third party
  14. you already KNOW im on a budget when im asking this question I can't decide on which one's better. Textile Jacket from SBS - comes with standard CE shoulder and elbow armour but NO back armour. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/331659 Leather Jacket from ebay: claims to be 1.3mm thick from a reputable ebay seller; has removeable thermal liner, ce elbow, shoulder AND back armour (pretty much impossible at this price point) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Leather-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Jacket-Short-Biker-Brown-Distressed-CE-Armoured/183261682524?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D55c9d5e23a2041a092cdc64745129f6f%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D152311681050%26itm%3D183261682524&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Aa10e94eb-5861-11e9-bd54-74dbd1802f30%7Cparentrq%3Af278c4d51690a9c4a2a7c1b2fff6defe%7Ciid%3A1 ok bosses, before you say i should buy a quality full body race suit 3mm whole grain kangeroo leather with airbag technology, i wont
  15. make sure it stays locked up! bright colors seem to attract bike thiefs
  16. Both exhausts are stock and I'm confident the sounds coming from the engine :s I'm not sure but sound seems to be coming from the engine. The sound occurs more often (or only when, not sure) when I blip the throttle fast enough
  17. This sound is followed by engine not delivering power (clutched pulled in, meaning engine's rpm doesnt rise) until I blip/twist the throttle again ; if i tried to replicate the sound by blipping numerous times again, i doesnt happen and engine runs and blips like normal. It happens infrequently and randomly when I rev the engine with clutch pulled in; happens on both my brand-new Kawai vulcan 650 AND '16 CB125f (occurs more on the vulcan but could be coincidental that I just happen to rev match downshift more on the vulcan). Sound also seems to occur only when throttle is blipped fast (like a quick blip to downshift) *sound also seems to be coming from the engine, not exhaust I have no idea what it is and whether i signals engine damage?
  18. Thanks for the reply guys; I've just added one more question to the thread, the image 6.5b says 'ensure dowel is secure' so I'm not entirely sure what that means?
  19. The o-ring, how do you know the size of it? Do o-rings all come in the same size? Also, will an air duster from poundland work? Lastly, can I just estimate the torque on the locknut or will a torque wrench be necessary? Also thanks for such a long reply!
  20. Very helpful video from Fortnine on gear replacement - ">
  21. Insurers are insurers, they'll bend you over any chance they have. It's like playing fck marry kill with hitler, trump, and a chinese bike
  22. avoid pink pound insurance; its called right choice insurance and should always be the cheapest quote most of the time. They'll screw you over and waste your time so youll eventually be a lot better of buying from more reputable insurers like mce
  23. how much were the gloves? Im having second thoughts now on my 25 quid gloves.. get well soon of course!
