1. Very few places on public roads in this country where one can do little but go slowly (or rather slower than one would want).
2. Hello and welcome. I'd expect the electrics to have some sort of protection.
3. Go for it. Perfect weather for riding around the Peak District
4. What about comparing the Mt-09 with a Speed Triple
5. Hello and welcome. No idea on the bike though, I prefer British
6. I would probably go over to Squires sometime, when the weather is better.
7. Also have a look here: https://www.motorcyclenews.com/site-search/?_query=chains for advice and possible suppliers.
8. Give Sportsbikeshop.com or J&S accessories a call tomorrow as they are reputable and have given me good advice in the past.
9. Now I’m getting out of my depth. Personally I would just go to the dealer and get their recommended OEM parts. I’d probably get them to the work but that is just me.
10. In that case I’d be inclined to give the chain a very thorough clean and lube to see if the links free up. If not then it might be worth getting a new chain. Also check sprockets for wear and consider replacement as well. Loads of videos on YouTube for doing these jobs.
11. Chain could have a couple of sticky links. In the photo it looks like a couple of the links are not aligned properly - the two at top right. But that could be the way it was photographed.
12. Rule 114 from Highway Code: 114 You MUST NOT use any lights in a way which would dazzle or cause discomfort to other road users, including pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves to avoid dazzling other road users (see Rule 226).
13. All been said really. I've had a couple of near misses as well, once on the bike safe course whilst being followed by a police motorcycle . Best you can do is weave a bit and make yourself more visible. But if cars pull out in front of fire engines with all the blues and twos going what chance do we have?
14. Get the license first then worry about the bike. When you get a bike get one from a reputable dealer who knows what they are doing. You risk voiding your way insurance going down the route you propose.
15. Younha on the basis of the evidence supplied I don't think you have a leg to stand on. Do as above, zip tie and forget about it.
16. BR slated in Telegraph review today, or rather Rami Malik’s performance was slated.
17. If I was the garage I’d be mightily suspicious that you happen to have a “before” and “after “ photo of exactly the fault.
18. Yesterday whilst I was driving to work in the car in similar conditions I watched a scooter nearly come off by slipping on a drain cover that is placed exactly where a bike would turn the corner. I have reported this to the council several times, as I nearly came a cropper on the same drain cover, but nothing has been done. Rain and drain covers and road paint is a dangerous combination.
19. Oh dear, hope you are OK. I'd go to a dealer or local motorcycle mechanic for an estimate. If estimate is affordable I'd let them fix it. Obviously all depends on where you are and your ability to fix bikes to a safe standard. You could use estimate to source parts off eBay etc, but you'd lose the mechanics goodwill.
