Uneven tire wear from turning right more than left?
mikestrivens replied to potatobroxd's topic in Motorbike Chat
The road camber can be enough to wear the right side of the tyre more than the left, in the UK. Add roundabouts to the mix and you will wear the right side more than the left. -
Look out YouTube, here I come

The roads around the Peak District were nice and dry today and the temp even got up to 15 degrees.

Oh dear emmajaneg I do hope that you recover quickly and that this isn't the straw that breaks your riding interest. You seem to have had rather a bad time of it. Best wishes.

Tiger 800 cold on centre stand or just held vertically. Very simple. Edit: totally incorrect, see below

i recorded “They Shall Not Grow Old” and watched it the other night. The overwhelming feeling was that it lacked smell. I think the true horrors of war can only be brought home when you add smell, though the visuals were pretty bad.

Be careful filtering, passengers have been know to open doors in your path causing real problems. Slowly and cautiously is the key with your eyes on "full beam".

It depends on how the instructor felt you were doing. They won't (perhaps shouldn't) let you out on the road until they are satisfied you are not a danger to yourself or other road users.

this thread is getting surreal.

The service book that came with my Tiger just has the relevant dealer stamps with a note of the mileage and oil used etc. There is no owner info in it at all. The V5 (logbook as was) nowadays just has number of previous owners. I expect dealer has "lost" the service record, in which case they should supply a duplicate with the relevant stamps.

Question about taking bends
mikestrivens replied to JesterPilgrim's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
The Keith Code video is a little cheesy but there is a lot of very good explanation and advice in it. Video is based on book of same name. The other book well worth getting is Total Control by Lees Parks. -
