1. Remember those mint flavour giant kitkats? Why didn’t they work?!
2. Not quite accurate but funny though France’s minister for European affairs says she has named her cat “Brexit” on account of its indecisive nature. Nathalie Loiseau told Le Journal du Dimanche that her pet meows loudly to be let out each morning, but then refuses to go outside when she opens the door.
3. Sorry to point out an error, but you forgot to tag me in that. The exception or the ugly?
4. Naughty naughty https://www.skysports.com/motorsport/news/15749/11674294/costa-rica-motorbike-fight-see-jorge-martinez-and-marion-calvos-bust-up-resulting-in-bans
5. Maybe he didn’t realise he was being chased https://news.sky.com/video/police-in-125mph-motorcycle-chase-11411597
6. Blimey you are a real person then?!!
7. Roll up, roll up, roll up the day trippers are going for wobble down to the Sammy Miller Museum and being the friendly folk we are decided to open it up to you delightful freaks n geeks. We’re meeting there and folk will just leave when they’ve had enough so basically there’s no plan just turn up. We’ll have a time to aim for closer to the date. You don’t have to pay to get into the cafe but do for the museum (£9). Nobs n d*ckheads need not apply...... unless you can suppress any nobishness for a couple of hours then you’re welcome too. Just to be clear I take absolutely no responsibility for anything so you’ll have to find your way there n back like a proper grown up. Bring your tag number if you fancy bagging some points Their website has some useful travel info for bikers that is worth a read. https://sammymiller.co.uk Sunday 26th May inclement weather back up date the following Sunday 2nd June. If you fancy meeting some ugly mugs (with the exception of Magpie of course) we’ll see you there
8. Very nice. New gear definitely needed. Roland’s Sands have a lovely red jacket in the sale....... and it’s long so no iced kidneys. I think it’s called ‘Ginger’
9. How do people get away with this stuff. Unless your car miraculously managed to crab sideways the damage indicates who’s responsible. Had dash cams fitted to all our vehicles last Monday due to my last interaction with the thieving barstewards. Didn’t know they record sound as well.... had a long secretive conflab on how to manoeuvre someone in a particular direction...... which is no longer a secret..... doh
10. That's rather a bleak picture you paint there . Yep. Sorry.
11. Hmmm maybe. Never say that in the NHS. You try your arse off with no return but.... mainly good people trying hard. I did say they were a tiny percentage. A tiny pointless percentage but all the same- are you saying don’t know an authoratarian who needs a tinsy winsy kick somewhere it hurts? Or a poor teacher that maybe should have a wee look at themselves?
12. Hello There’s one (or two) teachers at my sons school that are so negative and nasty judgey, totally clueless about the idea they’re supposed to be able to enhance and uplift the little darlings, they’re annoying and full of negative bile. I have a few words reserved for the rudest one or two about their lack of care or ability....... I’ve just finished laughing my head off, my son showed me his tube postings. He can sing, just about, but what do you do with Mr Sincerity singing Lion King toons whilst generally being an arse? "> Let’s hear it.
13. You can’t go posting stuff like that after I’ve had a glass of wine. Right that’s it I’m off. Not MikeStrivens off though so don’t get excited......
14. ... Is that your Saturday night out clobber? Putting a pic of a obese man in a grotesque outfit with that message is pointless. It’s the same scaremongering crapola they used to say about gay men. The reality is children are most at risk from Jackson action from another family member. MarkW well it does arouse suspicion doesn’t it but then when do any of us know anything. I imagine his fathers influence on his decision will have been looked at in some detail. There are indicators that there is a biological element to all this. If you read up on trans you’ll find the majority saying they either knew or had strong feelings from a young age. The suicide rate, the levels of addiction, poor access to health care and discrimination are the norm and all the evidence is currently pointing in the direction of better mental health when it’s accepted by everyone early and the trans kid has his or her choices supported. After all there’s no reason why he can’t change his mind later and decide to be a boy again (well before the snip plip that is). If folk weren’t so paranoid about anything to do with sexuality no-one would give two hoots.
15. This will likely be unpopular but the ‘gender dysphoria’ which is unhappiness with your assigned sex or gender usually occurs at a young age and the psychological damage and stress it causes to the child can be devastating causing life long problems. Trans children who are able to transition early and are accepted and supported in their choices fair much better. I’m sure you’ve heard someone saying they always knew. The teachers will have already been in touch with the GP etc to find out if it’s legit. Being introduced by the teacher will help stop any bullying which will occur because the adults who think sexuality is fixed and fear things they don’t understand will pass on vile comments and attitudes to their children. Marks son knows liking knitting doesn’t make him a girl and we’re all happy to accept this because it conforms but this other little boy feels strongly enough he’s not, strongly enough to risk having a hard time. He will be having constant psychiatric assessment or this wouldn’t be happening. If its just a child that wants to be a girl, they should get over their parochial selves. This isn’t someone who’s going to start leaping all over their daughters. If his issues are deeper due to his unusual background then poor sod, I hope everyone can behave themselves.
16. On the helmet removal accident front it would win hands down. Depressing as this statement is I would be surprised if anyone knew what they were looking at. Sadly now a lot of our ambulances are mainly fast taxis with flashing lights driven by technicians with little experience or training cos real paramedics are rightly more expensive. I like the idea of reduced wind noise.
17. I think plaster cast cutters do the job. I’d be interested to know what the fit was like. I’m one of those people that slides out of stuff. I’ve nearly come out of more than one fairground ride The Sharp rating is the thing I’d like to see.
18. Have you tried the Held gloves that come in small medium and long finger lengths? Might be worth a try. Held do a few like this. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/110726 I would suggest you soak them and put them on to stretch them (like you used to have to do with walking boots) but I’d be concerned about the integrity of the stitching holding up.
19. What do you think? My first reaction is noo I don’t trust it! https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/413249
20. The name of the road is... brrrrr.
21. I made a mistake last week and I felt the ABS and I’m bloody grateful it was there waiting to save my stupid arse! This ABS vids quite entertaining. ">
22. I like them. Bike vids without crashes are good background while doing boring jobs and LTF doesn’t have an annoying voice or awful sound quality like a lot of them.
23. Aargh I now want fish n chips!
24. Very nice
