  1. I already checked it out but they don't behave it in stock. I'm guessing it screws in and connects to the connector behind the radiator hose. they usually push in and are held by a screw Looking at the diagram it's two bolts.

  3. Yeah it does, think it sits just in front of the front sprocket. That's bthe expensive but almost 200 quid new if you can get one or around 20 on eBay again if you can get one.
  4. Could be just that, have a look at the connectors first before you start pulling things off Yeah that's my plan, but we all know it won't be the easy fix, sod's law or something.
  5. Cheers for that. Have to wait till weekend as it doesn't look a simple fix. I am hoping it's njustbyhe connection as I drained and filled the coolant and inevitably got a load on the connector when bleeding the system. Again thanks. Dave
  6. Going to work today and notices the Speedo needle doing a little jig. Then it stopped working as did the odometer. Had a look on line and the sensor which controls the Speedo is on the left side of the engine and the connector for it on the right near the top radiator hose but not really sure as searches.for 1998 CBR throws up the F4. Anyone got any experience of this problem and how's it best resolved. Cheers Dave
  7. Ah yes you are right, roundabouts. It’s a bit like cobs, batches, barmcakes, etc. Outside certain areas people wouldn’t know what you meant. . You mean muffins.
  8. Cheers Bob I will bare that in mind. I am gonna look at the difference inetwen the Hels and the goodridge. I know the Hels have a double banjo for the master cylinder not sure about the goodridge. Thanks again Dave
  9. Cheers for the info. Think the Hel will be overkill as it just a road bike. I don't mind paying the extra but if I am not gonna see a tangible difference then I may as well.save myself some money and put it towards decent pads. Dave
  10. I have a pinlock on my visor. It does help but it isn't perfect. Does you helmet come with a bit that covers your nose? I removed mine and the visor with pinlock misted up all the time. Stuck the nose bit back in and it helped. Hope this helps Dave
  11. I am thinking of replacing the standard rubber brake hoses for braided stainless steel ones on my 98 Honda CBR 600. Question is is which ones, Hel, Goodridge or Venhill. The Hels are nearly twice the price of the others but are they worth it? Cheers in advance. Dave
  12. Yeah but your mate will get a visit from dibble. made up address , and I got it delivered You sir are a criminal mastermind.
  13. Good to know , so if I get someone to go nick me a bike , make up an invoice for a fair market price , then it comes to light its nicked , I get to keep it . Yeah but your mate will get a visit from dibble.
  14. Even if it is a nicked bike if you have paid fair market value for it then it would go to interpleader and you would probably end up keeping the bike.
  15. Very nice, enjoy and ride safe.
  16. The law is fairly ambiguous and is based on what is defined as driving, usually control of steering, propulsion and the ambiguous bit the actions of the person must fall in with the everyday meaning of driving. It would be up to the court to decide if pushing a motorbike is driving. By pushing a motorbike you'd be controlling the steering and propulsion but IMO not driving in the everyday sense so the 3 elements you need for driving are not present. You can't be driving a bit you either are or you aren't. Dave
  17. Yeah got my policy with them. Does that mean we'll be up for a dividend ?
  18. It's 'buy on price, buy twice' - no one ever gets it right! This is exactly what I said to SWMBO last night in Asda. Wagon wheel were reduced. So I was morally obliged to buy two packs. They were the ones with jam in as well Wagon wheels with jam? That's proper middle class.
  19. Cheers, seems it's too much hassle gonna look into a decent bulb. Probably btje Phillips ones unless someone knows better. Dave
  20. Headlight on my 1998 Honda CBR 600 is poor to say the least. I out a new halogen bulb in and it's still not great. I was thinking of getting a new HID setup as it seems straight forward. The hardest bit is getting a company in the UK who do the full kits. Lots of companies say they do but then don't have them in stock. So anyone recommend a company that does the HID kits or should I stick with normal bulbs but use a higher end make?
  21. Tanks been off and some crap in it, all flushed out and now clean. Air line through the pipes new filter fitted last week. The bike had been stood a while prior to me buying it so I don't think that helped. Anyway lesson learned thanks for all the advice. Dave
