  1. you are not falling out with it allready elizabeth are you Noooo not falling out, i still enjoy every ride, but sometimes i wonder if id enjoy the 09 even more... Not looking to upgrade yet!
  2. Nah, I was the same as you. I told them Id never ridden before so they catered for that! it will be fine! big breaths!
  3. The MT 07 is a great starter bike. It feels safe when your fresh out of the test centre without being too boring. I wrote a review on mine in the reviews section which is from the point of view of someone who is newish to biking. That said the CB looks amazing and I imagine would cater to more abilities than the MT07 - i can see why people would get bored of the 07 after riding it for a while.
  4. Yes! I did a two day CBT. I'd never even sat on a bike in my life! Day one: CBT session on a 110cc scooter, went well, got the certificate Day two: No certificate needed, but same thing done on a 125 geared bike
  5. How much does the BMW weigh out of interest? Im guessing seeing as you are still on PCP your best best is to go into the dealer and see what they have on offer for swaps, and they can update your financing accordingly.
  6. There ya go, tempt the local tom with a littler tray! Or I can send you my bike cover, the local tom loves spraying on it!
  7. Cat urine is pretty infuriating as well. Not sure how you could collect a tom cat spray though.... Stick some fish in the grills? Fish anywhere that gets hot would be pretty inconvenient to him? .......Why is all my revenge childish?
  8. Not sure I can let this innuendo pass unnoticed either hahahaha
  9. Fortunately nothing liquid-y was required in this fix after all!
  10. Well that sounds slippery and fun I rewrote that sentence a few times but there is no such thing as talking about lube without it being one big innuendo! I didnt want to write 'lean over/bend over' etc etc, just makes it all the more worse....
  11. So got home and was armed with lube (he he he) and as I lean in to begin.... ITS THE DAMN HEATED GRIPS. that chunky bit of rubber where the wire and grips come together have moved round, I assume the glue has dried up, and it's just moved forward a little. Moved it back round and boom, happy clutch.
  12. Yeah regardless the bike has done 8.7k miles so not massive. I bought it at 7.5k a few months back and has been fine up until last week.
  13. hahaha dry clutch Anyway yes you may be right, this happened after a veryyyy long ride out so perhaps its needs some grease! Also, no Im not a quickshifter
  14. Hello! Bit of a random one but I imagine common. Feel free to tag if this has been asked 10000x before At random last week my clutch has been feeling stiff/tighter than usual. Still operates fine but I cant seem to pull it in as far as usual. I've checked the cables to make sure nothing is caught and cleaned as well in case dirt etc has got stick somewhere but it's still stiff! I assume I'll just need to loosen if off, but I dont want to do that and then whatever is causing the current stiffness disappears as randomly as it appeared and then I have the opposite issue!
  15. Mine is simply my full name....
  16. Well done! Hehehehehehehe The best bit about the whole MODs experience! After my test, the training centre is the other side of the city from the test centre so I decided to take the fastest and funnest route of the bypass, no better feeling that opening the throttle a bit more and going around people when you dont have someone glaring at your every move! Liked my test bike, would have snapped it off them if they had ever been considering selling lol.
  17. Looks great! What did I miss, new bike??
  18. Interesting dilemma! I assume you aren't paying in full then? I went in and bought my bike the day I passed but because I paid in full ( ) they didn't need to see my licence, they only check it if you go on finance. That said it's been a week so it should be on the system by now! definitely give them a call!
  19. is it perhaps toooo wet with turps etc?
  20. That's a lovely example! We have the white and blue variant at home too, nice bike. Love the all-blue of yours though.
  21. In honesty thought it's just as convenient to toss it in the car and go to the tip
  22. We use a drum like that to burn random garden matter but we never start with the green waste. We get a fire going in the drum first, usually planks of wood and turps, plus some newspaper etc thrown in for good measure. once you've got a decent flame going and its nice and hot start tossing the branches in - but not too many at a time! you may need to alternate with more wood/paper to keep it all going! You'll know its going right because plants let off a pretty thick, green tinged smoke. We only stick the lid on the drum once we're done (or if it ever got too out of control!) as a means of suffocating so it all burns out quicker.
  23. I nod at anyone on a bike (not scooters) regardless of engine size Depends on the Harley on whether I get a nod back or not round here it seems. The big tourer types tend to ignore me. Rude! Sports bikes and nakeds give the most nods IMO, leather clad or not!
