  1. I believe Knox do some outwear jackets that are extensively lightweight but well armoured? Then of course *insert speak to your GP here* type comment.....
  2. This was a great ride Here's me covered in watermarks on the route haha
  3. fuel cap? Lol, YES! Although that one and the pillion seat would match? Unless the tank damage was severe? In which case it possibly would have been deemed a write off, maybe?
  4. It is strange there are three keys I must say. My 125 was a cat D due to being recovered (we presume, there were large scratch marks around the ignition barrel and the barrel itself was loose, plus the steering lock wasnt working until we fixed it all) but it had two matching keys. Is one for the new ignition, one to open the pillion seat and then one for ?? or something?
  5. Splashed out on a pair of these (no wonder Im skint this month) whilst SBS had 20% off on them. I must say Im impressed. They intercom was very clear and voice command works really well. You have to be *really* far away for them to disconnect. If they do, it will repair automatically once you are back in range, so no pulling over to faff around. Music sounds good in your helmet if you want to listen to the radio or spotify etc. there's also a set up for headphone use but I haven't used that yet. In the box there are three different types of mic too depending on your helmet The only downsides so far is it can be a bit faffy to get them pairing, but I think im probably not doing something right - the instructions are slightly vague. The hold down for 6 seconds to get a pairing going is fine, but after that point we are blindly just tapping until you start to hear each other. I did find the pairing etc was faster and easier on my iPhone than an Android. The app is a bit antiquated and could do with an update but it does do the job. If you pair the device to your phone before downloading the app, you'll have to un-pair and do it again to make full use of the app. If you update the software etc from a computer, downloading it off the website is very cumbersome too so they should probably look into that. Overall though I'm really happy with them and would recommend, Made a 350 mile ride out at the weekend much more fun that following each other in silence!
  6. Yes! Managed to score some Triumph x Knox armoured waterproofs. Love the adjustable waist and big pockets. Sadly nothing else is in my size anymore unless they've restocked in the last two weeks with new stuff!
  7. Pyramid plastics: https://www.pyramid-plastics.co.uk/categories.html?catnum=102157&h=16&d=MT-%20125%20Accessories I believe theres a really good ebay shop for MT parts too just I can't remember the name for the life of me!
  8. I know the MT 07 have a couple of owners clubs with good links to stockist for the bike... let me pick a few that will probably cater for it's little brother as well!
  9. Stunning. I plan on doing the NC500 at some point. Hopefully this year. Look forward to the views and getting lost on purpose. I recently did the ride through the heart of the North York moors and even something as simple as hilly moorland I found stunning in comparison to my normal city commute. and good roads too.
  10. If you're not bothered about making money just trawl forums like this or local biker groups on Facebook and see who's in need of a 125 whit barely any budget and offer it up to them?
  11. Won't lie as much as I love riding I hated every second of my MODs. Getting that final pass was just relief rather than happiness! lol.
  12. Oh hello from Lincolnshire I would say give instructors in your area a call and ask them about their facilities, or go take a look around for yourself I suffer with the kind of anxiety which leaves me glued to the loo for a couple of days before the event, but once i get going im ok. MY CBT was no different, i was petrified until i sat on the bike and suddenly all my focus was on the bike and not my irrationality (or bowels!). Having never ridden before, i did a two day. day one was on a 110cc scooter, that was easy and fun, loved that. Day two was the motorbike. Found that harder but figured it all out eventually! Now I go all over on my full licence bike without the horrid physical symptoms before i get on! you can do it
  13. The journey is only yours never feel pressured to do something just because others have! I bet you'll find a lot of 125 groups out there where there are people who can ride 'big' bikes perfectly fine but enjoy their 125s. Also the bonuses of 125 - cheaper to tax, decent fuel consumption, generally lighter to move around or pick up if you drop it, and are exactly what you want too - a bit of fun!
  14. Im very much against capital punishment and feel that many people regardless of their crime should have the opportunity of good rehabilitation to turn them into hard working, upstanding members of the community again. Im also a believer that no-one (almost) is born bad, and we need to read beyond the headlines we see and look at the back story of people more to understand the decisions they made. They dont have to be forgivable, just an better understanding. All of this said, there are people that you simply cannot rehabilitate due to their overall risk to others or they simply choose not to take the path offered. Their punishment is longer sentences. How many times has it been proven in the US the wrong person died?
  15. That right there is weird! I think it's those damn headlights, the ruiner of many a good Triumph! But that's just me of course... Hmmm?...... 20190506_123306.jpg ARGH! why Triumph why!
  16. Lol that's everyone then! We are all a little bit snowflake-y really....
  17. I think this sums everything up perfectly to be honest. We kind of had a similar debate at work, the examply being that if a stranger came up to me in the street and berated me for potholes etc because they knew i work at the county council, and they then threw an egg or something at me, should I retaliate by throwing a punch back like politicians have done before? My answer was on that occasion no, because although outside of work it was known i worked at a council and I have an image of staff and the authority to uphold. It casts a bad light on the council and had I attacked someone it may be seen as sackable. It would be easier just to let the appropriate authority deal with that incident rather than me trying to leather them. My colleague disagreed so it then derailed into reasonable force which I would know about seeing as I study self defence/jiu jitsu and you have to pay for a licence, sign forms to suggest you understand the use of force and when to use it (and when to stop!)! Had the example been a person coming up behind me unseen and grabbing me then I may have retaliated to defend myself. Anyway I digress. Anyway I can see this from the BBC's side, there's been an outspoken presenter for the BBC and then there's been a bit of a loose cannon, even like in this case it was "accidental" (I can't quite that it myself). He's accepted the result of his misjudgement, so no point in arguing it, or comparing it to another point in time when someone OUTSIDE of the BBC said something stupid on radio. Another side note Im sure the BBC has disclaimers to say the opinions of guests are their own and not that of the BBCs blah blah....
  18. Working for a council, I do know we have a handy map for byways: http://row.lincolnshire.gov.uk/map.aspx?act=Motorists Its not the best looking but it is helpful. Sort of.
  19. Beth Im not a Liz (but if people accidentally call me Liz I won't be rude and ignore you....honest!) Yeah, will have to drop her a PM and see if everything is alright. Are you doing Pulse of the Moors at the weekend?
  20. That right there is weird! I think it's those damn headlights, the ruiner of many a good Triumph! But that's just me of course...
  21. There's times I curse having a naked. Usually on rides when I've gone out with a tailwind I was unaware of and then had to ride home getting battered! I know Im usually knackered by the time i get home fighting it! plus its harder to really accelerate the bike.... if you catch my drift
