  1. i havent test ridden any of my big bikes lol! only my 125.
  2. I dont offer test rides unless it's a friend.
  3. I love how ugly the MT range is if Im honest!!! Makes them endearing....
  4. Pleased for everyone waiting to do their DAS or renew a CBT if that was affected - it's horrid waiting the days before a test, let alone constant booking and cancelling!
  5. Oh and ive used direct line for the last 3 years in a row. Can really fault their quotes, and the more insurance you have with them (at one point I had car/pet/home) or some related does (my partner was with them also) the bigger the discount lol.
  6. Yup, did the same with my cars when I was younger to lower the cost. Soon as i hit 25 though it dropped considerably. Even cheaper since i hit my 30s too lol, it was only at 30 though I could remove my dad without it making any real difference. He has never driven any of my cars. Madness!
  7. Under no illusion that my MTs have all been butt ugly/ overly aggressive. Thats why i love them though. I appreciate a good modern classic style though! I will find photos that make me think
  8. I can agree with this as it happened to me on my bike test those couple of years back (and meant I failed, still a bit bitter about it) Waiting at a roundabout to go straight over. Guy also waiting at the roundabout to my right, he was indication to take the first exit (basically the road I was coming from). I waited for him to move off as we approached at the same time - he came to a complete stop despite nothing coming so i decided i would make the first move (this bit isnt really that important as he still hesitated long enough that I was clear of him despite what he did next). He do not take the first exit like his indicator suggested. He didnt even get into the correct lane. He went ALL THE WAY ROUND the roundabout, on the outside lane, on a left indicator. So if we trusted indicator alone he basically put everyone already on the roundabout plus anyone getting ready to enter the roundabout at risk. I didnt notice until i was shoulder checking noticed the car was now behind me, and thinking 'why are you still here?' Its a hard lesson but why i hold back slightly sometimes as i dont trust people's intentions on indicators alone! in this case cant even trust road position lol!
  9. Thank you! useful to know about the emissions! So many new settings to look into!!
  10. Long dull story but basically it's being delivered now this week! Pics soon promise!
  11. Collecting tomorrow!! Excited now!
  12. Yup, being 5'3 and only 60kg I suppose I am the equivilent of a Japanese man right? So never found the suspension too awful on my Yamaha/Honda bikes!
  13. Damn annoying but feel your pain - found all my bike documents but can I find any of my car docs? nope! Have to get a new V5c now. Im sure any locksmith that does auto keys can help but if not/ they are closed then may need to ask a dealer? They may charge a lot more than a locksmith though
  14. I thought this is what they had to do in order to be open in lockdowns? CBTs for key workers only? Could be wrong....
  15. Well.... let it be known I died with a smile on my face?
  16. Thanks I will! Its nice to hear reviews that aren't 'OMG It wheelies all the way down the road!!!!'
  17. really great advice thank you!
  18. Yes fear of the unknown definitely summarises me! I know that the minute I find the bite point and ride out of the dealer I’ll be happy as a pig in
  19. Hey all! Long time no see! many bike adventures had since my last post in 2019, even allowing for this irritating pandemic! Just wondering people's opinions on MT 09s if you own/have owned one? I have a deposit on one ready to collect soon, but I am excited for something new and being a big wuss in equal measure! (I was the same getting on a 125, and the same collecting my first big bike and those seem laughable fears to me now, soooo it's a nerves thing). Thank you!
  20. I like him! I think he just films what he fills his day with - working in his garage! Be it metal works, bikes, or random builds. He does some good vids for newbies as well. He needs more subscribers but he is very niche!
  21. I got my CBT on scooter! Decided I wasnt completely shite so i booked to basically do the same thing on a geared bike (but obvs no certificate at the end because you already have it). It WAS harder at firest, but got my own 125 and just practiced in the evening when it was quieter on the roads and I got better each time
  22. 19! Always been helpful when in the Boston store. Online the items come very fast. I did have a pair of gloves that got holes after 8 months... they just said no problem, to send them back and they would review them. I was given a refund
  23. Both my MODs are misery inducing. I was bored senseless riding round....and round....and round all the local test routes (i guess because i had a 125 so was already riding a lot in my own time, and i understood road signs etc so in comparison to others i was with it felt like a waste of 4-5 hours) The highlight after passing would be when my instructor let us go home a really random long way round at the end of the day as it meant we just got to ride for ourselves and enjoy! Anyway I digress. You got this! Is it the actual cones your are swerving you knock, or the ones you have to come to a stop between? If the latter it simply sounds like bad luck and wasnt meant to be this time. If the former, keep practising, but particularly try snd get those nerves under control as it sounds like maybe that is causing the error?
