By far the best thing to do is avoid all that faffing around, insure it, and ride it through the winter!
-
I've got one just like that on my Firestorm. I keep all my blue smarties in it, for emergency use.
-
Personally, never, since I have a Scottoiler. Someone said in another place every 100 miles recently. That would be every day if I used the bike for commuting and didn't get it done automagically.
-
There are actually several points.... and and they are perfect for a lazyarse like me that believes that time spent with the bike should be riding time

Between £70 and £100 depending on capacity and if you want twin injectors, and if you want new or used. Loads on Ebay
-
That's why you use another body to steady it. Then when it drops you can blame them
-
The bike will move forwards when you lift it, just keep moving teh stand and it'll lift it eventually. Might be easier if you get someone to hold the bars while you lift, to steady the bike. Just don't try lifting the front without the rear in position first... like I did

Have you also got a rear stand, and what difficulty do you experience when you try to use the stand? And is it this one? http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Search.do?method=delegate&n=487&g=0&p=16292&s=MTXSL11R

Have you also got a rear stand? And can you post a picture of it, or a link to the one you bought?

My son and I both have CBR400s and they absolutely refuse to start (or fire) if the battery is low. Bump start FTW - although that's not such an easy option with a 600

Perfection doesn't fit with youthful impetuosity though Apparently. Don't recall that far back myself

He doesn't want to strip it though, which pretty much rules out powder-coating?
-
Hammerite (or Smoothrite), brush, masking tape and lots of newspaper.
-
Low oil pressure when cold?
-
2m is overkill, unless the exhaust really does get that hot. Just make sure nobody parks on it at traffic lights...
-
I've been with my son the last couple of years, and will probably go again next year Hopefully next year will be the first year he doesn't break down on the way there

It's a drain, it goes nowhere special. Ignore it so long as it's not pointed at a naked flame. If it IS pointed at a naked flame, run.

That question needs to be directed at the garage, and then sent onto Trading Standards.

Ebay, or any motorcycle shop that sells parts. Chains are sold by size, pretty much anyone should be able to supply it (apart from Gap Kids and Thornton's, obviously).

Should people who pass DAS have some kind of restriction
Bogof replied to Boothy's topic in Motorbike Chat
How would you restrict boats though? Propellor size? -

No they are not. And I'm not "thinking", I'm stating fact. -

Well done! So you really did sail through it? I said you would -
So long as it's not likely to fall off, and so long as the brake works effectively and the looseness doesn't impede it's working in any way, I don't see how it could cause an MOT failure. An advisory maybe...

This Just That's it. f**k it.
