Great looking bike. Love that 3 cylinder sound.

Good job, lot os small parts, I usually end up loosing or breaking some of them and at the end after assembly always have spares remaining
-
Brilliant !
Many thanks for taking us with you and posting the pictures.
Congratulations on completing the trip in an excellent time.
My days of cruising at 160kph on motorways are far behind me - I hope you didn't trigger any speed cameras .....
On the plus side, your bike is very economical if you were getting over 50mpg travelling at those speeds
.
No I didn’t trigger any speed camera, I did 160 only on the unlimited parts of the autobahn. I did follow all limits. As computer says average speed on all 2000km was 111 km/h what is 69 miles/h.
At 160 consumption was 40 miles /gallon, not bad at all.
It would be fantastic if I could stick all the way at 100 miles/h, it would take me only 12 hours instead of 18

That’s all ok and electric is the future, but without engine and exhaust note it is just transportation.

When we went it cost £39 on the ferry (return)
and roughly £150 fuel £150 tolls each way!
300 odd quid on tolls?? That's bloody extortionate but on the other hand the roads are better than ours.....fuel isn't that much cheaper either I don't think but right now its just something that I am thinking about
That’s are really expensive, Germany gratis, Austria and Slovenia 25 euro booth for a week, that doesn’t include some tunnels and bridges
Still I think is cheaper to drive, if not cheaper than more interesting.
I hate ships for some reason.

Next week same way back home and 14 days quarantine, welcome home.
-
Unfortunately all on motorway therefore no interesting pics, but met some bikers travelling around,
-
Just over 2000km, about 1200 miles, airhowk saved my bum, no pain no bruises. Definitely worth the money

Austrian and Slovenian road tax for a week
Few pics on the way
So update, arrived to Croatia, where tourists are welcomed, no one asked a question. Except on Austria/Slovenian border, Slovenian bloke asked where is the destination, when heard Cro he just waved his hand to go.So depend on destination it looks very easy to travel.
So I stop last evening on lorry park around Wursburg, slept on the bench in the sleeping bag as real homeless. Rain worked me up at 03:00 so I just departed 03:30. It was raining over 3 hours, almost to Austria where sun came out finally.
Roads were very quiet what helped a lot getting quickly to destination, autobahn on cruise control 160 km/h
Unfortunately iPad and pics are rotated stupidly
But finally in Rijeka, 20 degrees Celsius, bit cold for locals, as it should be over 30

Looks like you have been lucky with the weather so far !
Keep the updates and the photos coming - and good luck with the rest of your journey. Is that Zadar you're heading for ? I've been to Zadar and Dubrovnik. A beautiful ride down the Adriatic coast.
No I am going to Rijeka, my home town, but yes, ride from north to south along Adriatic coast is fantastic, and places as zadar, sibenik, etc all the way to Dubrovnik are fantastic.
Especially now with just tenth of the tourists, everything is half price.

As I said not to many pictures as it is boring motorway trip to Croatia.
Today departed from home toward euro tunnel, at 5 this morning light traffic all the way. Arrived just on time for train at 10:20 ( lot of road works and diversions),
Customs no issues at all, French bloke didn’t ask nothing. I did fill up online form for France few day’s in advance so maybe that is enough.
Arrived just south of Frankfurt, found nice track stop for overnight, not crowded fortunately no rain. Sleeping homeless stile in the sleeping bag on the bench. More details tomorrow after Austria and Slovenia.

One or two size bigger gear,
-
I am not sure that will be lot of pics, it is business trip believe or not, 100% on motorways.
However all experience will be updated here if someone else will need to travel this way.
Nothing to stop you taking a camera with you
Unfortunately gopro is in the luggage that still didn’t arrive after 3 weeks from Norway, but I will try to take some pics along the way with my phone

I will try to get to France then Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia to Croatia,
Strictly business trip, on the bike,
Than next week if all goes ok comeback, and 14 days quarantine in uk. Welcome home.

Those are seats for people doing lot of miles and spending many hours on the bike daily.
I got airhowk years ago (not cheep), but that is the all I need .
I don’t use it daily (motorbike), and when is used it is for few hours.
Except when on the route to Croatia, but that happens once every 5 years.

thanks

Good luck. I guess you can avoid some borders but not all and are any hotels open as it's a long way to go non-stop.? Roads should be quieter though. Is your bike UK registered as that may make life difficult for you?
Yes it is uk registered bike, that could be negative,
I really try to avoid hotels, motels and any place where to many people are close to each other. I will just stop on some rest place by the motorway and sleep few hours under the sky’s even if rain is very possible
-
It is still much cheaper than most of Europe
-
Anyway I got Croatian driving licence as well
-
Don’t think you need it in the Eu

But all this will change post brexit
Remain to see in 2021, probably will not be required but we will see
