  1. Lesson to be learned here is when the traffic slows down in one lane and your lane is free expect someone to turn into your lane so slow down
  2. In the slow mo it looks like the straps where on I dunno then....this one is comical and scary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zhfY27ZGeM
  3. Okay few lessons from this video, just to let everyone know the guy was okay, thankfully his quick reaction to stand up or because his breaks made him do so - saved his life, because he stood up his head did not smash into the 4x4. But I just wanted to share this video because look at his helmet. Please everyone wear the right helmets make sure they fit! Also how dumb is that driver she managed to not see 1 but 2 motorbikes, we are really invisible huh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXSMYPz9kwM
  4. France and Paris if you want to play dodgems
  5. Alright I will just tell my girlfriend, and close family members that it is more dangerous for me to walk to work That is scarily accurate At least on a bike you are dressed (hopefully) to protect yourself. Wouldn't fancy walking to work in full leathers. Haha...dunno mate, my minds like a yo-yo keep deciding for a bike with my HEART but against a bike with my HEAD, main concern is safety and winter riding
  6. Lol but what if you did it accidently and then die at 70mph 3minutes later
  7. Back on that f**king horse NOW!!!!!! No but really, get back on it, you have built no-how and experience some of which will be forgotten by march go go go
  8. On a 125? I would rather walk mate. With this weather, being limited to 30mph and doing many miles on roads that will have speed limit great, not having proper wind protection or a bike designed for all weathers, no abs, no traction control nah thanks mate. Honestly sounds unsafe to me. Some 125's can hit 70-80mph...... Then I am sure its over the HP limit you can ride on a cbt? Also editted my post thought he was going to start now in the winter haha
  9. On a 125? I would rather walk mate. being limited to 30mph and doing many miles on roads that will have speed limit greater, nah thanks mate. Honestly sounds unsafe to me. Driving a car for 50 years would make no difference, in my opinion the longer you drove the car the more dangerous it will make you as a first time rider. Car people tend to have car drivers habits, less awareness and understanding of dangers that bikers need to be on the look out for

  11. ''According to its estimates, 40,200 people died in accidents involving motor vehicles in 2016, a 6 percent rise from the year before. If the estimates are confirmed, it will be the first time since 2007 that more than 40,000 people have died in motor vehicle accidents in a single year.'' Then guess what, even though I selected UK at the bottom it says US statistics
  12. I am also scared and I have not even started my CBT yet, thinking of just learning drive a car instead, then later on in life learn to ride and get a bike for good weather days ONLY. Not sure though........might just get a bike Can I ask where you cornering? Or riding straight when it happened? What type of bike and CC?
  13. It says in the UK motorbikers make up 1% of road users but we made up 20% of deaths on the road in 2016, but 40k people driving cages died in 2016 where as 319 motorbikers died
  14. There is racing way of riding, breaking into the corner accelarating soon as you can out, leaning into the bend Then there is normal way of riding.....
  15. I mean I would not want to be stabbed or have acid thrown on my face either. But on the other hand I am working so hard at the moment to make money for DAS and to buy a Honda NC 750xa that I have a great urge to baseball bat all three of them
  16. I wish all of a sudden they where teleported to Brazil or America and shot by the owner

  21. some turnings you can not see that far which means you will ride at unsafe speeds and cars will smack into the back of you
  22. so you can not brake heavily whilst turning? You gotta straighten out the bike right? So what if your doing 50mph and theres a car stopped infront on a turn, you then straighten your bike before braking, but if your bikes straight you would go into the oncoming lane?
  23. Well if I understand correctly you would not be leaning that much on such a corner (as it is not that tight), so you will still have braking available to you, not 100% braking but more than enough to stop at that type of speed. The tighter the corner, the more you would lean the less braking available to you. However, tight corners on roads are taken very slowly so you would still be able to stop in time, unless you are riding over the limits then yes you probably will fall off, so ride at the right speeds and lean angle and all should be fine. But always put the motorbike as straight as possible to increase braking available to you. Always try to approach corners wide as well so you can see whats around it sooner, but if the corner is real tight I would not recommend going too wide because idiot driver love coming onto your lane in tighter corners so just take them slower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nthXJElRxrU[/url]
