  1. I wish I had scammers calling me last time I sold a bike. All I had was dopey teenagers asking if I wanted to swap it for a Grom.
  2. I think deep down Six is a closet Bandit rider.
  3. Yes, getting a charge and taking a charge a two different things. If its been left for a few months its possible the voltage dropped too low and the battery has sulfated and now won't take a charge.
  4. I would probably suggest that OP would be very unwise to disclose on a public forum information that would be potentially incriminating, if you catch my drift.
  5. Well this might interest you, be quick though as the domain has actually expired so may disappear any day now, I'm not paying for it as I don't go exploring anymore. http://www.urban-ghost.co.uk Other link: urban-ghost.blogspot.com A lot of the places are sadly no more, either having been redeveloped or just straight pulled down.
  6. Kids? Doing dangerous stuff? Ah yes, I remember being allowed to do that.
  7. I once upset a horsey friend by saying horses should be fitted with an emergency stop mechanism before being allowed on the road. She said 'and how would that work' - I sent back a picture of a Glock 17. Apparently this was not cool.
  8. I’d just buy new pistons. They aren’t usually that expensive and of all the places to skimp on spending brakes ain’t one of them!
  9. Whatever you go with do some trial fits before you drill any holes. I fitted mine when I had my WR, which had tons of ground clearance and space between the frame and the engine to loop the chain through, its was also light so picking it up and getting it in just the right position was easy - the Bandit not so much! Unless I lay flat on the floor its pretty much impossible to put the chain through anything that doesn't just unbolt and still get it through the anchor. Coupled with the fact its easy to scrape the can on the wall due to the extra width of the Bandit I don't really use it much now.
  10. I think run of the mill places that pretend to be pretentious are even worse. There seems to be lots of chain restaurants these days with delusions of grandeur.
  11. They are cakes, and believe it or not this has been determined by a tribunal in 1991.
  12. That’s really nice!
  13. Oh my god, why is the cat not watching MewTube. Seriously, who missed that one!
  14. In my youth I had an Orion with the reg E77 TTG I got pulled once and the copper said that to me, 'that's a unique number plate'. You don't say, genius!
  15. Count yourself lucky, mine had a big Akrapovic sticker on a Scorpion can. First thing I did was get rid of the sticker.
  16. This is why I haven't bothered with it, plus I already had the Banana Slip. I looked about online and the split seems 50/50 as to whether they are the best thing ever or bin fodder. I'll have another look at it just because I'm curious but over all I'm not sure it will be staying on the bike.
  17. I might have to sort it out and give it a go. It’s currently just tucked away as I moved it when I fitted the tail tidy.
  18. My bike had a Scottoiler on it when I got it, I've never used it though. I may give it a whirl but part of me enjoys having an excuse to go out to the garage and get my hands dirty. Part of me also wonders if it even works as when it came to me it was empty.
  19. YouTube is full of drivers/riders playing the victim when the reality is they put themselves in that situation. I quite often see videos that start off with the uploader actually being on the receiving end of someone else's bad driving. However, they take no action whatsoever - they either fail to identify the hazard/danger or think that somehow being in the right is going to prevent them from being involved in a collision. At that point (for me at least) they stop being the victim and they become the bad driver/rider. I'm sure it will be a great comfort to their family to have 'It was my right of way' engraved on their headstone! Then there are the ones like the first video posted that I think may have deliberately place themselves in an iffy situation to get a video to upload, because I can't for the life of me think why any reasonably sane person wouldn't have either gone past before they moved over or if that wasn't an option and your speed was matched at the posted limit just eased off and dropped in behind. Given the amount of lanes joining in close succession there I don't really understand why he moved in to that position in the first place. Second one is just 100% in the wrong, no ifs no buts.
  20. I use Banana Slip chain wax. Not sure it’s better than other stuff I’ve used but it does make the garage smell nice.
  21. Nice one - on both counts!
  22. Yep, these days DVLA really don't like home swaps and will want a garage inspection and report on headed paper at a minimum. Insurance will also be a real pain, on one of the Bandit groups a lad put a 1200 lump into his 600 (why you would build a bike you can buy is beyond me) and the quotes he was getting were 3-5 times more than a standard B12!
