A sad day! (MOD 2)
xMachina replied to elizabethf's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Nice one - on both counts! -
Yep, these days DVLA really don't like home swaps and will want a garage inspection and report on headed paper at a minimum. Insurance will also be a real pain, on one of the Bandit groups a lad put a 1200 lump into his 600 (why you would build a bike you can buy is beyond me) and the quotes he was getting were 3-5 times more than a standard B12!

Hey, who wants to play Quooker roulette?

Don't worry about jumping the gun, I bought my Bandit before I'd even booked my DAS let alone passed it!

Check out RJH motorbike training on YouTube, got some great videos that I felt really helped me. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiHVOZpzEyMTiCU0JNU9f0A -
Better go buy a lottery ticket!

Enfiend Test Centre

Did mine at Letchworth but could potentially have been Enfield or Cambridge. Glad I got Letchworth as I know it better than Enfield and I hate Cambridge with a passion! -
Define wrong. When I learnt to drive I was taught to wheel shuffle - If I still did that it'd take me about twice as long to get anywhere! They teach you what you need to know to increase your chances of keeping control as a noob and decrease the likelihood of you painting yourself across the tarmac before you've even finished training. After that its down to you to either get more advanced training or figure it out for yourself. There's a very good reason you hear so many people say that you don't start to really learn to ride/drive until you've passed your test.

Hack As in 'life hack'. What usually follows this over used word is a tedious 20 minute video of someone spending 3 days and £285 to make a tool that costs a couple of quid or using something really weird to do a job that there is already a simple solution for.

I was looking at a new Lexmoto Adrenaline as a learner bike but in the end I bought a used Yamaha WR125X. Although the WR cost more it was the better choice as I hated 125 and did my test asap. I sold the WR 3 months after buying it - for more than I paid! Had I bought the Lexmoto I would have made a substantial loss.

Is 60 Months warranty good for a new 125cc bike

Yeah, I thought that too. I’d be reading the small print VERY carefully. -
Did someone mention a Bandit? I love a Bandit!

I thought I’d buggered my mod 1 up right at the beginning so I was treating it as a practice run. On both the swerve and the emergency stop I thought I’d see if I could do it at full tilt so as I came out the bend I really opened the taps. Was chuffed I could do it and thought that next time at least I know I can definitely get above the speed. Nearly had a heart attack when the guy said I’d passed!

If you buy a helmet off wish then what’s inside your head probably isn’t worth protecting anyway.

What's wrong with me? Can't stop looking at big bikes

I always like looking at shiny stuff I neither need nor can afford, it’s what keeps sane(ish)! -
Did filtering in my training too, I really enjoyed it as a new rider, getting to glide past the traffic to the front of the queue was awesome!

Thanks guys, I see it now, came up the street the other way on street view and saw the sign.
