  1. My connector came this morning. Do I need another one to make the loom?
  2. Can't find anything on eBay. Just put that in my basket and with postage and vat on top it's nearly £10 cheeky bast*rds! I'll have a look on Amazon too.
  3. Hahaha. Complete newb... I'll get that ordered then [emoji5]️
  4. Great! I can't bloody find a female connector that will fit the male! I'll keep looking. Cheers Stu
  5. Nice one. Makes sense now. Thanks for the offer Stu! One more question..... Any sort of wire required? I have some spare from when I ran a cigarette lighter on my last bike to charge my phone. Will that do?
  6. Right. I think I've got that in my head. Am I right in saying I will need a female connector to fit the 3 way that you linked to? Sorry about all the questions....I really don't get on with wires lol
  7. That looks exactly the one! So.... What else will I need make a loom? Any specific type of wire and how many? How many connectors?
  8. Thanks Stu. All of that went over my head lol I'm not good with wires so think I'm gonna need some physical help. I suppose Yamaha is the best port of call for the connector?
  9. Tonight I've been attaching a stop light kit to my top box. This will give me a tail light, stop light and indicators. I've got everything routed and fixed where it should be no problem but now I'm stuck. I need to connect the kit wires to my bike. There are 3 wires on my bike and only wires for the kit +£ - There are also to connectors to attach. How do I proceed? See all pics.
  10. Your examiner should have told you when to expect your full licence through the door. As Marky said it can take up to 2 weeks, but it's usually quicker than that. The Harley place won't accept a pass cert. it will tell you what to do on the back of your pass cert if your licence is not with you after a certain amount of time has passed. Also your examiner will not post your provisional. He will enter your details on his PC directly linked to the DVLA and then shred it.
  11. Last time I watched and was really interested in F1 was from the late 80's up to when Nigel Mansell raced. Completely lost interest when he left. I did try to watch for a couple of seasons after he left but it just got boring.
  12. Well done. You'll soon be looking back and chuckling to yourself about it all.
  13. In your situation I think you are best going for the DAS. Get yourself a big bike and don't be afraid of it. Honestly, there is nothing be afraid of. As long as you are sensible while gaining experience after you pass you'll be absolutely fine. Good luck!
  14. They don't actually send it off. The examiner confirms the pass on his PC via internal weblink as then shreds the provisional. You will need both parts of your licence. Photocopies are not acceptable. See if you can rearrange your test date. You need to report you licence as stolen and send off for a new one. Bummer about your wallet. Thieving scum.
  15. It's an air filter Shorty. No, leave it as it is and just fit it.
  16. lol I'm not using it at the minute, but was just curious to see if my suspicions were right, that it's buggered. Now that is coming round really fast!
  17. Yeah I'd not long been stopped. I'll check the lead in the morning. This is the first time I've used a multimeter, so not 100% sure what to look for lol. The Optimate is pretty much brand new. Got it just before Xmas. Only used it twice and then had my suspicions it wasn't working properly due to the lights so watched a YouTube video and here I am. Got it off eBay from a reputable company so may get in touch with them and see what they can do. I think I might just be inside the 180 PayPal days. Cheers Stu EDIT: Bugger. Bought it in October from a company on Amazon
  18. OK, that confirms my suspicions. How do I find out if the unit is muller'd? That's with the bike off Stu. Should I start the bike up?
  19. Right, I borrowed an multimeter and checked the lead that is connected to the battery. That is fine, showing 13.15. Turned the unit on and....nothing. Zero. The only light that is showing on the unit is the green light to show it is switched on, obviously this is because it's not connected to the battery. Should the multimeter show any current coming from the unit?
  20. That's about what I was thinking without using Google [emoji3]
  21. When you were younger that show must have been on its 7th re-run I'm guessing lol I was there for the 1st ....
  22. There are a couple of roundabouts here that calls for that action I was amazed the other month when approaching one of these roundabouts. The left hand lane was virtually empty and the right lane was about 10 deep. I got the front of the left lane (going left) when I get a load of abuse from the woman driving the car at the front of the right hand lane. She actually had her left indicator on and had been holding up everyone behind her and it was my fault I wouldn't let her turn left! I just did a 'loopy go round the f**king roundabout hand signal' shook my head and continued on my way.
