1. You know what, you hit an oncoming vehicle in that scenario and the maths is the least of your problems. You're still dead. I'm living proof you can survive a head on crash, all be it I broke both my arms and was close to death I'm still here to tell the tale, in mine I was travelling down a narrow rural road as I did on a daily basis to work but my problem was I was 17 with zero hazard perception and thought I was Marc Marquez on my little Honda cg125 and I used to ride the road flat out which was around 65-70 mph there is a nice long straight after which is followed by a blind right hand bend but knowing the road and the bike I would roll off slightly to around 60 and turn in to the right bend and I knew if my front tyre was on a black patch that was just on my side of the centre of the road I would make the corner no problem so I put the front tyre there this day and there ended up being a car coming the opposite direction at the same time and the rest is history as they say, I have also been told it was the speed that saved me if I'd been 5mph slower my head would have entered the windscreen I'm pretty sure we could read that and the result could have been very different. I'm glad you're alive now but IMO that was a silly move to go that fast into a corner on a open road. Oh, how are your arms now?
2. @BabyD said it was this week but never said what day. Unless you know it was today!?? He has posted pics on the challenge thread Ah! I stand corrected. And I was a chump thinking he was going to post the photos here.
3. BabyD said it was this week but never said what day. Unless you know it was today!??
4. Wait? We do give priority to the right...in roundabouts that is? Or do you mean approaching junctions from minor to major road?
5. You never actually answered the question?? I was shown by brother who is a few years old than me.
6. You mentioned above that the seller doesn't have the full service history, if it was me, I would let this one go as you have no idea what problems this bike has had. What's the asking price? Do you know the bik reg? If so, have you at least checked the MOT history?
7. Bob, you forgot the all important Dictaphone to use to record his thoughts as he recall everything that just happened, it's evidence in court Or its a fun tool to watch your trips back when you go to nice places or even a educational tool to watch your ridea back on and see how you can become better and safer All jokes aside, I do agree with you on that, I use mine that way. I originally had mine on the right of my helmet so that the view captures most of the traffic on the road, (since we drive on the left). But after a while and as highlighted by TimR, you will realise that the extra weight (even though small) that is on your helmet will cause some neck pain after long duration. Best thing to do is mount it on your bike, if you are only using it for educational tool, it will be better there!
8. I found that the ones they have now in the Theory Test is a lot more "computised" so the hazards are slightly easier to spot that the "live action" ones that they used to do in the past. I didn't purchase any study material this time round as I just used the ones the DVSA had on their website so went in hoping for the best! (I passed! )
9. Is filtering not meant to be done at slow speeds? Like, 10-15mph?? Anything over that is aggressive overtaking is it not? All it takes is one person accidentally opening up a car door as you are passing through??
10. I've certainly not heard about this? What year is your CB125F? Have you got any local repairers nearby that's had a look at it, even just to take it in and ask them to see if they can see anything.
11. Dude, they send you the labels to send stuff back, they don't even charge us for any of that, I've had to send a jacket back once when I'd ordered it on the wrong size but when my replacement came, it had a button that was loose, however SBS did not question when I had to send it back again for a replacement. I would not hesitate to use them again for anything as I have had loads of stuff from them and they have been amazing, it's the first place I go to check reviews before I search elsewhere. Drop off point for labels is further than the nearest post office, much further, and I never said they charge? I meant it more on that fact that most of the time folk complain when they have to physically spend money to send things back, my understanding is that SBS uses the courier service UPS to collect return items. There is literally loads of UPS Collection points throughout that you can go to. Where do you stay that you need to go 18miles out??

13. The best thing I had from the green welly cafe was a home made pie, it camecomplete with something very chewy, a full fingernail, I complained and said who was missing a fingernail ora finger, they said they didn't know as although it said home made on the menu they weren't actually made on site There are a lot of gangsters in Glasgow , well there's probably one less now . A case for Taggart I think even though he's dead as well . Wait, how did the chat end off dissing my turf? What did we gangsters I am weegie do to you!? Just for the record, I'm no gangster.

15. Thanks, just got mine today and it wont turn on? Do I have to leave it charging for hours before turning it on or what? When I got mine, it was half charged so was able to start using it from the get go, I believe I used it till it went flat and then charged it to full (uninterrupted) and then used it till it went flat again to get it fully discharged. Kind of like what you do with laptop batteries (that's how I treated it anyway)
16. Rich, you talking about that technique where you rest your foot under the gear shifter and as you slowly roll off the throttle you flick the gear shifter up to go up a gear? I've never managed to get it to work, must be my technique!
17. Yup, the Drift Ghost X does come with the mic adaptor but like you said, you will need to buy the mic cable separate. I've brought one but never used it as I have the X in the waterproof case at all time in case of (heavy) rain and accidentally dropping it when taking it off mount/helmet. (which as only happens a couple of times!)
18. Hi Pat, welcome to the forum, could you give us more information? Such as when it cuts out, is there still power going to it even though the engine is off? When you mean warm, do you mean the radiator gauge is getting higher?
19. If this was a question on question on Yahoo, this should be the one that gets the Best Answer top spot IMO, I salute you sir for your boldness!
20. It may look steep just now but it's more a fun learning curve! You'll sooner or later get used to it and realise that you don't need to squeeze the clutch too much to change gears. Once you know where the bite is, you just need to go there. Remember to have fun out there!
21. But he already has a Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L? Unless he's lying....on the other posts he wrote on this forum.
22. Yikes! It appears it's on the news now. https://www.getreading.co.uk/news/reading-berkshire-news/m4-closed-motorcyclist-dead-after-16533362
23. Am I really that boring? I think we will forgive you if you provide us photos of this "couple" or you've wasted all of our time. *tears up missing person form*
24. This time tomorrow we can file a missing person report!
