What sort of touring are you doing? are you taking full camping gear?
Although the roof is flexible, I imagine it is fine as they it sits on top of cars doing 80mph plus
The intention is to do full camping gear yes. But when not camping I'm sure the mrs will find plenty to fill it up
Maybe even make one of those pull up tents with aluminium frame.

Plenty of cheap waterproof cases available
I was thinking elastic bands and a freezer bag, our idea of cheap seem to differ lol.
Use the same technology as some reporters used a few years ago in the Amazon.
Put it inside a condom

As I said on another thread, I got this roof box courtesy of a gentleman from Auchterader
Roof box
Roof box
The idea is to fix it to a frame and make a trailer for my touring trips.
Although a one wheeler would be a great option I decided to Go for the 2 wheels and have a more stable setting.
The box is 137 cm X 95 cm which is just under the legal 1m width. To go around this, I'll be crating 2 wheel arch inside the box next to the wall, this will be done in glass fibre and resin.
The cover is quite wobbly so I'm considering reinforcement with red carbon fibre and epoxy resin, 3 resin coats on top for glossy finish. Like this ill be red as the bike
Red carbon fibre
I'm not too worried about the base, it will be fixed to the steel frame so it will be strengthen with it and isn't as wobbly.
Also considering to create a wall to be fixed between the cover and the base to increase capacity.

What I don't like about these is that if you leave the bike for a few hours the braking system is under pressure for a log period.
-
You only need to MOT them to make sure they are safe to ride, you won't need insurance and tax as long you don't ride them

The trouble with Facebook is people want to swap for an xbox or iPhone
I have a nitendo wiiU will throw all the accessories with it

So there are no takers for the ER5?
No at the moment .
Are you not officially advertising it?
I'me very tempted.
Would be a great add-on to my ST1300 and ideal for shorter trips like bike day friday

When I went to this museum I got into the concorde, I don't think I would like to fly in it. so little space. Compared to a 777 or a 380 is a flying cupboard

So this is a re designed wankel engine?
If I understand it is very different from Wenkel.
Regarding IP. By posting it you have lost the opportunity to register the IP according to international IP rules...
Technicality, as combustion engines will be illegal in a few years, it's a copyright of what you could have had.
Unless you can burn hydrogen or other green fuel

First one important question.
You have already registered the IP?
Second, it should depend on proximity between flame and fuel, if heat transfer is strong enough it should inflame but this would mean that the separating material is hot enough to transmit the heat.
The image is showing a thin material so I would guess it will heat up, the next question is, will the material resist such fast heat exchange?
Anyhow, I think it's a neat idea if it works.

At 250 miles I start looking for a petrol station.

No tyre wear isn't affected as both wheels pointing in same direction just as normal.
Cheers
Ian
No they're not. Front wheel will point to where you want to go and read is always the same direction
Agreed but I thought he was asking about rear tyre wear as it`s the rear that is offset.
Front behaves just like any front wheel.
Cheers
Ian
Yep.
Usually there is an offset between front and rear wheels (when both pointing same direction.
This offset compensates the pulling of the rear wheel from the chain. If wheels were perfectly aligned as you would find if you pass a string from the front of the front tyre to the rear of the rear tyre you will find a gap between the front of the rear wheel and the string. That is the offset that allow the bike to go straight.
-
I have always sighted up the chain by eye, not using a tool. Also looking on the teeth of sprocket and chain incase one side shows wear.
Looking to see if the chain is central on sprocket...
Interesting to note the bikes with offsets and that it makes no difference to the handling..
Does it increase tyre wear?

There are companies that will transport the bike for you.

Search ebay with EBC code > sort by price + P&P lowest first > top one. Not even died yet!
This is exactly what I do too
Usually these guys are cheaper than Ebay
-
My ST1300 only takes EBC HH ones.
