My friend has challenged me to a drag race , the roads are so quite so the perfect time.

We only have 125 cc bikes so won’t go that fast , the thing is I dropped my helmet and it broke , would i be ok to wear a pushbike helmet

So I've been clearing my garage out in a state of lockdown infused boredom and have found several bottles of half full oil from years past. The question is what to do with them?

Seems a waste to just take it to the tip for recycling but I cant think of any further uses for it

Get an old broom and brush the garden slabs with it. It will last years until they get algae on them.

Would you use a rust inhibitor and if so which one?

I'm not aware of any paint that will prevent rust and at same time will resist high temperatures.

As long you get all the rust out of the way, and must be every single little spot of rust, painting with high temp paint should do the trick.

Give it multiple coats of high temperature black paint . Toolstation stuff works well . Some people recommend barbecue paint but I haven't tried that .

 

I agree with Bob on the Toolstation stuff.

I’ve used it and it lays on well, oddly it comes in 400ml cans rather than the usual 500ml.

Toolstation stuff works well yes, Vicas ones go up to 800c and aren't expensive

.I just did mine had the letter thro £163.00 full comp . 0.00 excess. Pillion. Leathers.leagle protection the usual jiz . Then the mrs said you have to tell them about that old fart who hit the car just before xmas out of his face on a diabetic rush/almost coma .

Oyea crap so I did called them and guess what it's now £183.00 hang on it was not my fault he was off his face having a diabetic episode crosses 3 lanes of traffic and his the side my car head on . So not my fault so why has it gone up .

WTF . I had to pay £100 excess when I taken my car in for repair had to pay it even when AGAIN not my fault but I'll.get that back once the claim sorted as I cant get the car repaird due to the garage closed/lockdown . So now I want my bike increases for the next 5 years as well .

I would make a complaint and go elsewhere if they don't bring it back down.

If the accident wasn't your fault you should have kept your mouth shut.
