  1. I've been on strike twice! .. On both occasions union reps were talking to us rank and file members every day! .. we also had regular branch meetings and were kept informed of how negotiations were going!
  2. Not sure if you know how unions work but at branch and regional meetings members will have given the leadership an idea of what will be acceptable! The leadership will be in constant contact with regional and branch officials who will be talking to members and taking soundings. If there is an acceptable offer or close to then that it will then be put to the membership.
  3. Put some pictures up, say what's wrong with it and how much you want! .. Someone here might be a after a project.
  4. Network Rail is a public sector company! ... Since 2014 Network Rail has been classified as a Government Body!
  5. Good luck to the RMT I say! .... They have not had a payrise for the last 2 or 3 years and have only been offered 4%. Network Rail have also threatening to impose compulsory redundancies and 50 percent cuts to maintenance work if the RMT did not withdraw planned strike action.
  6. Not my sort of thing but if its what you want to do then good for you! ... Good luck with it!
  7. What country do you have a motorcycle licence for? .. You may be able to add it to your UK one. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=37bd8bf30be4fda670940273103bfa57JmltdHM9MTY1NzMxNzY0NyZpZ3VpZD00MjI3NTJkMC1jZDBjLTRkZmYtYWYxMC1mZGJmYzIzYzUyMzUmaW5zaWQ9NTE2NQ&ptn=3&hsh=2&fclid=6b887939-ff09-11ec-a8fe-519b5e9c1efd&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ292LnVrL2V4Y2hhbmdlLWZvcmVpZ24tZHJpdmluZy1saWNlbmNl&ntb=1
  8. Why not take it out and have a look?
  9. Why can't you put them in your trouser pockets?
  10. Just to be clear.. You have done your CBT and passed the theory test and completed mod 1 and mod 2 on a 125 motorcycle? If the answer is yes and you want to ride a bigger bike then go for the category A licence At the age of 39 I'm not sure why you bothered with going for the A1.
  11. What do you think?
  12. Come on Geoff, Mod 1 is a piece of piss! Stop faffing around and get your Mod 1 booked and done! Get your instructor to take a video and post it on here too, then we can all see how well you've done!
  13. Mod 1 is a piece of piss! ... Get yourself booked in asap and let us know how you get on!
  14. Its ok if the ABS kicks in!
  15. Mod 1 isn't difficult .. The problem people have is controlling their nerves knowing that one little mistake of putting a foot down and you fail.
  16. In New Zealand all you have to is the Basic Handling Skills Test(CBT), where you don't even have to get out of second gear, at the age of 16 and you can ride a 650cc motorcycle on L plates! Why? .. Because they are the rules!
  17. I'm not interested and I don't care! In New Zealand you can do a cbt and jump straight on a 650! .. Why? because they are the rules! Why do you keep flogging a dead horse?
  18. Not according to the examiner .. the bikes didn't have enough power to get up to speed in the short distance.
  19. We seem to be flogging a dead horse here but as the law stands if you pass you car test you can buy any car you like and as powerful as you like. Its the same with motorcycles, if you pass your A licence you can buy any motorcycle you like and as powerful as you like. If you don't think its a good idea then that's OK, buy one your happy with.
  20. Talking to the examiner I was told quite a few people fail to make the speed on a 125. .. Being a bit of a porker I had to rev the knackers off my old CG125 to make it!
  21. For someone who hasn't passed their test and I presume never ridden one you seem to know an awful lot about them!
  22. My son was 16 and had just got his restricted licence when he bought a Mitsubishi Galant 2.5L V6 twin turbo!... Buy what you want and can afford!
  23. Top one is Turn Left! Bottom one is Turn Left Ahead!
