Ok the sound of the bike has changed also

some suggested broken reed valve

the bike is box standard original exhaust

above 4th gear when it approaches 6000 rpm it kind of chokes this pronlem developed over about 3 days in about 90 miles I know the description isnt good but its the only way to describe it

its a 4stroke so will not have reed valve so you can ignore that but it does have inlet and exhaust valves

if you havent been giving it some lube on a regular basis then chances are both the chain and sprockets are on there way out

the green slip is only valid for 16 weeks with dvla after that its cough up the money for new one

thats y its always worth taking a walk round the local area and fields if bike gets stolen

look for a tatty tank then might find one cheap with both tap and sender in it

The chain on my old Lexmoto needed adjusting on a weekly basis, towards the end of its life it was more like once per ride... and then the Lextek chain I got as a replacement needed adjusting MID ride sometimes

you had better tell them to get it ready and pdi done the day before then ready for you to ride away otherwise it will be the longest agonising wait ever while they sort it out when your sat there

i would say ride it gently but certainly dont make it labour so make sure u use the gears properly roll the throttle on and not jam it open

normally in the case of an accident they would offer you one price for t he bike and they keep it and then another price with you keeping the salvage but in the case of theft they give you the full payout and chances are if t hey will give you the name of the salvage company selling it then it could be anywhere in the uk as most of them hold the auctions on site or even online only and t hen it would depend if its a cat b write off only registered breakers can bid for it

as you have been paid out you have no rights to it and it now belongs to the insurance company they normally get salvage companies to sell them at auction

check the wire coming out of the gauge under the tank you havent crimped it onto the frame by accident have you and it might of cut the wire inside the sleeve test t he wires from sender to plug using the ohms side of the multimeter

gauge itself faulty or the plug under the tank where it connects into main loom has got bad/dirty pins in the plug itself

bulbs in clocks what are they most of my bikes havent got them dont need to see how hard its revving can hear it mind u i do get other riders shouting at me at times as i have forgotten to cancel indicators

you can put a jack under the exhaust collector and jack the bike slightly leaning on its side stand to lift rear wheel off the ground thats how i used to do my fireblade you only need the wheel just clear of the floor

check the website to make sure your local store has it in stock if they havent ring them and they might be able to get it there for this afternoon i know my local one can

watch this it might make you think about what you buy as security

put the bike on the centre stand and grab the rear wheel at the top and bottom and see if you can rock it sideways to check for to much play in the bearings

there should be a small amount of free play/travel on the pedal but not to much as long as you can app;y the brake without the pedal going to far down it should be ok

normally if its plug for main gallery then its for an oilway if you started the engine up with the plug out then oil would come out of the hole as the only time it would be passing through the area is when the pump is circulating while engine is running

are you sure it is a oils or waterway plug/bung or is it a cap pt in from where they have to machine the crankcases when new and is just a blanking plug??

as naughty as it might be i just sold some stuff on ebay just made sure the postage cost was high enough to cover the rip off.................i mean commission charges
