  1. spark plugs are funny things they dont like being knocked about or dropped it can crack the ceramic part and they are then no use at all and even worse they often spark ok when out of the engine testing them but its once they are under pressure they dont work glad you got it sorted

  2. This has been on ebay twice i am really really tempted by this always wanted a Nc30 .....nc24 almost the same... the colors would match one of my old Tzr's generally thinking it would be a keeper overall

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391371567879? ... EBIDX%3AIT

so it needs upper fairing you try finding a good one then matching the paint you already have needs brakes rebuilding forks rebuilding new tyres new exhaust.......................that bill is about a grand plus the cost of the bike they are selling it off as is because its not worth them doing up to sell and the bits that make it worth breaking are already broken

  3. the cb 125 and cbr 125 are 2 totally different bikes the original cb125's some models are more valuable than others like the cb125s for instance seen values for very good condition ones sell for up to £750-£800 seen other try for more but it take take a long time to sell them then and have to be mint or very close to it

  4. Thanks all. Looks like I might as well replace it. The only snag is that, as it's a three point harness, I will have to cut into the back of the seat to do it. :?

must be a way into the seat from somewhere does the rear of the seat not use press studs or something similar as a lot of rear seats do

  5. How will you get it to the mot station?

    Push it

But that is actually a good question.

10 min walk from me lucky enough i picked the one nearest to me, up a small hill then down a long hill. and then repeat the steps in reverse .... or my old man said if it goes though a MOT if its okay with me to put insurance on it and he will use it as and when...

    that's one way

    i don't mind the walk/push

erm.........if you havent passed your test yet which you havent and th police stop you pushign the bike along and you have the keys on you then you are in charge of the bike and be be done in accordance with road traffic acts for no licence or insurance or road tax the mot you will be ok with as its prebooked in

  6. before you go ripping it to bits to change things that might not need it just get it into the mot if it fails then do what it fails on if it passes then its saved you some money dont forget the more you spend putting new parts on the less you are going to make on it as lots of folk dont worry about all the cost of what you spent on it the bike still has a ceiling value at the point of sale

  7. Is it because of media exposure, or are we really losing a lot all at once here?

Still reeling from Rickman and Bowie going so close. Little sister bawled her eyes out over it!

There must be a big after party going on up there... :)

they are all dieing to get to it so it seems

  8. The MOT is computerised, they are supposed to do it step by step as the prompts on screen tell them.

    No they dont!

its on a timer and thats it!

they have a set time for the MOT they can't take too long or too short otherwise VOSA will pay a visit!

they also visit if the failure rate is very high a mate of mine is mot tester and he was fairly strict on fork seals,he got a visit from vosa about it who said that a smear should pass with advisory oil running down the leg is a fail so thats what he does now

  9. The rotax 123 engine from the old aprilia 125 bikes had a gasket there.. But silicone will do.. Just don't use too much and bung the engine up!

the op has the 50cc engine not the 123cc would they be the same ?
