is it old enough or done enough miles to need the valve clearances doing?or is it just that its a bit noisy you want to do it

i tend to have radio 2 on when out and about in the car but at home its either planet rock or bikerfm

rather than using comparison sites you would be better off speaking to real people as you want it insured for private use not commercial unless you are planning to use it for work as well my transit was insured private and was cheap to insure

that sounds a bit deeper than just a tappet noise an easy way to work out where the noise is from is use a piece of wood and hold it on different parts of the engine while its running and put ear to the other end and listen and as you move it to different parts of the engine the sound will change but that noise sounds more bottom end than tappets so have a listen and see what you find out and let us know -

i would be looking at wiring connections around the cdi unit and at that itself -
i normally say if you are going to use a compressor for spraying then the larger the air tank the better but 50 litre minimum so it doesnt struggle to keep up pressure wise but the 24 litre t ank ones are fine for smaller jobs and pumping tyres up

it could well be the pick ups round the crankshaft down in the left hand casing one might be breaking down as it gets hot......oh and welcome to the forum please pop into newbies and introduce yourself if you plan to stay around as we are a friendly helpfull bunch........................most of the time...............(keep quiet six )
