  3. some members normally organise keswick for august bank holiday weekend derek im sure the usual suspects will be along soon to give more info
  4. i would say you need to find out how much coolant your system holds then divide the kseal to find out how much of the botle you need as your cooling system is likely to only be 1 or 2 litres not the 20 the full bottle will work with
  5. i should be there all things being well will be the first run the bike has had this year and the last if the fecking thing breaks again
  6. sorts out tools to take .............*hammer....check.......chisel......check........gaffer tape.........check* yep we can fix it

  9. if i can get bike mot and taxed i will prob meet you there
  10. they dont recomend it for bikes as the water ways inside the engine and the veins of the rads are that much smaller,if you can see where it is leaking from you might be bale to solder or get it brazed up if you can find a good replacement
  11. use proper bike stuff to be safe
  12. welcome to the forum have you checked the starter solinoid as they sometimes have fuses in the side of them as well as the ones in the main fuse panel?
  13. yea best not to taste if you can help it,was the temp gauge saying the bike was running hot when you could see the fluid dripping?check coolant level in rad and also check expansion bottle to make sure the level is between minimum and maximum lines on the side if there is any
  14. check coolant level BEFORE running engine anymore in case you have got a leak and its low on coolant if you are not sure a pic of where its leaking from might help
  15. greeny watery liquid? is it running off the bottom of the forks or from the front of the fairing? sounds like it could be coolant to me rather than fork oil dont think ive ever used/seen green fork oil

  18. if you look at the side of your battery it will give you the size informantion there as in 12v-3a or5a or what ever it size you need, then just go into bike shop and ask for that size battery, altho just go into bike shop and ask for battery for your bike they should be able to look up the correct size for you
  19. the battery will connect to earth is it a 6 volt or 12 volt system ( count the number of caps on top of battery 3 is 6 volt,6 is 12 volt),as the wires might be sealed from battery and going into a plug in loom check condition of connector there and normally black wires are earth on a bike look around wihere the wires are behind the side panel and see if there is any wires connected to a bolt on frame somewhere
  20. always willing to help the afflicted mate
  21. even tho i was a lightweight this year and only there for a few hours it seemed spot on for what the forum needed to be honest and at least the beer prices stayed the same right up untill the bar closed unlike last year
  22. i wouldnt be trying to use it again but it might be worth holding onto just for bits like the clutch and gearbox out of it should you ever need them
  23. a dead bearing will rumble/make a noise as you spin it where as a new/good bearing will be silent,or it will have more play/torerence in it than it should have
  24. no you didnt because all the missing bits of piston have gone down into the bottom of the engine and lots of it would of been ground into dust making any oil left like a grinding paste that passed through all the bearings and oil ways possibly blocking some as well
  25. some excellent pics there jammy
