Learning test routes?
whitedevil replied to dingosteve's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
I would practise any problem areas you might get taken too like multi lane roundabouts or awkward junctions etc. -
You'll smell it if it was petrol and you'd see the coolant level drop if you had a leak. All you need to do is go for a long ride and get the oil up to temp and the water will evaporate.

Rideout Sunday 27th March
whitedevil replied to Decor58's topic in Midlands & Lincs ride outs and meets
Alright mate, can do saturday but not this sunday or maybe in the week or next weekend -
29 at the rear seems to low for street riding i would try a few psi more and see how it feels. The psi will go up as the tyres get warmer. Like megawatt says my cbr manual calls for 36 front 42 rear but i find that a bit much for my riding style so i go a few psi under that. You just need to experiment till you find a good balance you may also need to adjust you suspention as well, something i need to get round to doing as well. As for the pump, any will do but i would suggest getting a double barrel one if you plan on a manual foot pump type. Garrage air pumps are usually way off on the psi reading so just be aware of that and check them with reliable pressure gauge. I've used some that have been over 5 psi out. Good luck with it mate.

Module 2 - How many faults am I allowed?
whitedevil replied to a topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
everything you need to know here: http://www.motorcycle.co.uk/getdoc/7493 ... -test.aspx I wouldn't worry to much as long as you know the area and are confident at junctions and roundabout etc. All the maneuvers are out the way apart from hill starts, angled starts. just make sure you are smooth on the controls, show good observations and don't cause any other road users to change speed or direction. -
wish i had a mate like you lol Nice work megawatt

My instructor told me a few but i cant remember any of them anymore :/ THE T-CLOCK INSPECTION The Motorcycle Safety Foundation created the T-CLOCK mnemonic as a memory and orgaization ad for a pre-ride safety check of a typical motorcycle. Each letter represent a particular inspection category, as follows: •T - Tires & Wheels •C - Controls •L - Lights & Electrics •O - Oil •C - Chassis •K - Kickstand TIRES AND WHEELS Tires: Pressure correct (cold), tread condition. No cuts, bulges, punctures of foreign objects. Wheels: Spokes tight and intact; rims true; no free play when flexed; bearing seals intact; spin freely. Brakes: Firm feel; sufficient pad depth, no leaks or links in hoses or cables. CONTROLS Levers: Pivot bolt and nut; action and position correct; pivots lubed. Cables: Ends and shafts lubed; no fraying or kinks; no binding when handlebar turned; proper adjustment. Hoses: Check for damage or leaks, proper routing. Throttle: Snaps closed freely when released; no excess play . LIGHTS Brake and Tailight(s): All filaments work; both levers actuate brake light. Headlight: All filaments work; properly aimed; no damage. Lenses: Clean; no condensation; tight. Reflectors: Clean; intact. Battery: Fluid level; terminals clean and tight; held down securely; vent tube not kinked or mis-routed. Wiring: Check for pinching or fraying; properly routed; no corrosion. OIL AND FLUIDS Levels: Brake fluid, oil, final drive, transmission, coolant, fuel. Leaks: Check all systems for leaks. Condition: Check color of brake fluid & coolant. CHASSIS Frame: Paint lifting or peeling may indicate cracking. Steering head & swingarm bearings: Lift wheels off floor, grab lower fork legs and pull and push to feel for play; repeat at rear. Turn fork to feel for detents in bearings. Suspension: Smooth movement; proper adjustment; no leaks. Chain or belt: Tension; lube, look for wear. Fasteners: Look for missing or loose threaded fasteners, clips, pins. KICKSTAND Sidestand: Retracts firmly; no bending or damage; cut-out switch operates; springintact. Centerstand: Retracts firmly, no damage. -
CBT and Theory Passed

Well done mate, keep it up -
Sorry to hear about your bike mate, the t!ts probably left the bike laying on its side which means you probably have all the fluids mixed together. Id start by draining the fuel out, changing the oil and changing the coolant if its water cooled.
