Still waiting on engine parts from the USA and still not enough room in my garage as a proper workshop, so I thought I'd swap engines on the road/sprint bike. Managed to bend a few valves last year, so I'm swapping the 1075cc, 105 bhp ET engine for a newer, lower mileage 1134cc, 120 bhp EFE engine that I bought in Eindhoven 18 months ago. First easy job was to remove the exhaust system, footbrake and clutch actuator so I could remove the modified heavy duty clutch basket and plates and the high speed oil pump gears. Took the clutch cover off, undid the pressure plate spring bolts, removed the pressure plate and then the friction and steel plates. At least 3 steels need replacing.
