  1. Warming the rear tyre up at Esholt, 1984
  2. PMd you.
  3. But then I'd be in the wrong class. You don't know the pro stock rules Joe.
  4. Found an old pic of my 1984 pro stocker.
  5. Gimme a bell and I'll talk you through what you need to do. Too much to type it all up on here.
  6. Can you do a compression test or better still a leakdown test?
  7. Did a few sprints on my stock ish 1075cc roadbike with extended arm. Decided recently to build a race bike for sprinting and drag racing. I already have some parts. Just bought this.
  8. I've started buying pro stock parts.
  9. Will do Bob. Just building a few sheds at moment to store my other 3 gsxs and fazer. Once the garage is empty, I'll install a woodburner and get stuck into the race bike.
  10. Will be racing at Santa Pod, weston Zoyland and Brighton next year.
  11. I'm building another pro stocker for next year Bob.
  12. Well done.. Remove the valve springs and collects with a valve spring clamp and tweasers or a magnet. An easy job and rewarding.
  13. Somebody dug an old pic out of my pro stock dragbike.
  14. I asked why because theres not usually anything useful on the left hand side/alternator end of the crankshaft. You can use the large nut and timing marks on the right hand end of the crank to do what you need to do.

    lowering my R6

Lower it and then you won't drop it. It won't ruin the handling as some think and will give you a lot more confidence. Search on eBay. Lust racing sell some.
  16. Where are you flying into?
  17. Nope. One stick per plug. Just looks like the top seal above the plug, with two thin wires to it instead of an HT lead.
  18. Drain oil and if it smells of fuel, the tank has emptied into the sump via carbs and air filter. Blow warm air into engine via oil filler and allow out of sump drain. When no more fuel smell, refill with oil.
  19. So you ran out of fuel? There's often crap and water at the bottom of the tank. You need to remove carbs and thoroughly clean them. Drain tank, remove tap, flush out tank and clean tap. Refill with fresh fuel.
  20. Where are you?
  21. It's No. 1 cylinder if it's the one nearest the kerb. Sounds like a carb or vacuum fault. Check the vacuum line between carb outlet and fuel tap. If all OK, clean the carbs, fuel tap and tank thoroughly.
  22. Depends on the housing and reflector. 35w should give you more light and also more heat. It may also affect the light switch.
