  1. Don't trust Sat nag, it could send you down single track lanes. Sterilise water containers, pump and heater, flush through then refill. Empty toilet every two days. Don't put too much weight onto tow ball or not enough.
  2. Most things are doable. Depends on your imagination and bank balance.
  3. It's not a solution, but if you can't find a solution, deal with the symptoms. . I don't know how accessible the pivot points are for the headlight, but if they are accessible, fit a two position adjuster for one or two up riding.
  4. If all else fails, modify headlamp so you can adjust it easily.
  5. Would be good to see you again mate.
  6. If anybody is interested, I'll be racing my GSX1100ET next Saturday. Number 411, red transit minibus in the pits. Come and say hello.
  7. What he said and if that doesn't sort it, drain the tank, remove and clean fuel tap and rinse tank out with fresh petrol. Dispose of petrol responsibly!!!
  8. Gimme a shout. I know all the good roads.
  9. I live near Rye. Lots more great roads in the area and nobody pays for parking.
  10. Think I'll stick to adjusting damping myself. Less to go wrong.
  11. I must have missed something. How many bikes have ESA?
  12. No, you said it had ESA. Why would I know what that means? Anyway, there's your problem.
  13. So you can't manually adjust the damping?

    Chain issue

If they will fit that C&S KIT for that price, have them do it.
  15. I'm in Hastings, so not too far from you. There's a meet in Maidstone town centre somewhere called RECA

    Chain issue

Yep, should be OK getting that off. Check chain and sprockets normally by pulling chain straight backwards at 3 o clock position. If you can pull it off sprocket more than 2 or 3 mm, it's fooked, as are sprockets.

    Chain issue

Thanks Bob. Yes I can do the C&S Danny. Can you take the front sprocket cover off as well, take pix and measure the size of the front sprocket nut or bolts. I can also teach you all you need to know about basic maintenance. Buy yourself a Haynes Workshop manual if you do fancy doing your own maintenance.

    Oil change

Six sided socket is best. It's meant to undo, so you'll have to lean on it. If you're unlucky, it may have been over tightened and someone has sealed it because there was a crack in the sump. Only one way to drain the oil unless you remove the sump.

    Fuel leaking

Probably a stuck open float valve. Try tapping it gently with a hammer handle. If it won't stop, you'll have to remove the carbs and give em a good clean. Where are you?
  20. Probably anti squeal shims between pads and pistons. Put some copperslip on em. Obviously don't get it near pad material.
  21. With bearings there is an inner and outer race, a set of rolling elements and usually a cage. You will buy a bearing as a complete unit and fit it as such. I wouldn't recommend mixing parts from an old bearing unit.
  22. Soak em in boiling water.
  23. Dunno if this will work on here, but here's a piccy of me on my sprint bike, 1981 GSX1100ET https://m.facebook.com/groups/257302847988172?view=permalink&id=431339430584512
  24. Most of the parts you need are on ebay. Accurately measure the o/d of the link pipe and the i/D of the silencer.
