  1. Set the preload adjuster for the correct SAG, then adjust the ride height with the seperate adjuster May have to undo shock for ride height adjustment. Most suspension specialists can set the bike to your requirements, but they will charge for it!!! If the back end goes up much, you may need a steering damper to control the front end at speed!!!
  2. Just thought I,d post this up coz of the recent interest. If your bike is too high for your little legs, you will drop it, no question! To avoid this, lower it or cut foam out of seat and stack your boots up. If you must lower it, DO NOT SOFTEN THE SUSPENSION!!! Lower it with a shorter, better shock and/or dogbones . Lowering may not necessarily mean shorter, some bikes need longer dogbones or shock, depends how your suspension works. Check it on your bikes forums and buy the right shock, with better damping, ideally. Dogbones come in different lengths or buy adjustables that you can adjust on the bike. Once the ride height is correct, then you can set the rear SAG, but that,s another story. Once you are happy with the rear, you can adjust the front to match, but be careful. Too steep a head angle will make the front unstable through bends, too shallow will make it slower and more difficult to change direction. If you are a newbie to fast riding I wouldn't,t worry about lowering the front too much.
  3. Didn,t think your bike was too vertical? Buy another stand and post it to my place?
  4. Sorry Colin , but you can grease the seals before pushing pistons in with red rubber grease. Just don,t overdo it!!!

    Running Lean?

Fred said what I said! Don't say you can't understand an answer, coz that makes you sound thick and you're not!!! If you fit aftermarket filters that flow more air, you will need more fuel. Not just airscrew adjustment, bigger main jets required. Come on Boothy, it ain't that complicated!!!

    Running Lean?

You will probably need bigger main jets as well as air screws about 1/2 to 1 turn further open. Take carbs off to find airscrews or use a mirror?
  8. Try attaching at wheel end, remove lever from handlebar bracket, attach lever and then pull cable using lever until you can get pivot bolt in?
  9. Screw the adjuster fully in at the handlebar end , parts 19 & 26, to give you more cable at the wheel!

    Rear axle

Nut shouldn't,t come loose if tightened properly . Check that bearings and spacers are properly seated? Tighten nut as tight as you can, you won't shear the thread.

    Chain Noise

Check behind the front sprocket. Could be a piece of wire or similar wrapped around the output shaft, making a click as it turns.
  12. Nothing wrong with lifting the front of a Blade up by jacking the exhaust Colin. Standard manifold is well strong enough and have done it numerous times. Wouldn't,t do it with a Titanium or rusty exhaust though.
  13. Good luck Bob. I mixed it all in a big bottle, with anti freeze and hot water . Gave it a really good shake , poured it in the rad cap of a hot engine and left it running for s long time, with fan cutting in at 105 degrees. If it leaks again, try it again before soldering/ welding, or try to reduce hole size. Don,t forget to bleed system to get rid of air locks. Good luck, Alan.
  14. Can,t see vid , but you need a new ignition lock that should include a steering lock pin. If you can separate the lock from the switch , you can operate the switch with a screwdriver!!! Just use a big lock to stop people riding off on the bike.
  15. If any interest, I can find out about the Bodium castle venue , it,s about 3 miles from my house and there are some great roads around here? I,ve been to Pete n Rusty,s, was a great stay with some awesome Normandy roads. I would go next year, but not this year, no money.!!!
  16. You need to sort that starter problem. Clean switch contacts and Wd40 em. Check battery voltage, before and after starting. Charge battery with a trickle not car charger. Use a good semi synth oil. About 30 quid a gallon. Don,t ever scrimp on oil, it,s the most important moving part of your engine.!! Replacement headlights looks ok , but check lamps, don,t buy 35watt lamps , buy one with 50/55watt lamps in. Mine is off a Gilera runner. Also check exhaust collector box, manifold for rust. I can fix it for you using stainless.
  17. Cheers mate, yes it,s great stuff. Contains copper and other filings. Repairs leaks without blocking up radiator. A lot thinner than Radweld or Bars leaks. Search on eBay, about 5 to 12 quid for a lot more than you need. My rad still good after 2 years.
  18. I have sorted 3 rads with K SEAL IT. Better than car sealant and doesn't block the tubes. Costs about 10 quid.
  19. Normandy is 5 hours from my place and the Ardennes in Belgium is 6.
  20. 250 miles for me. Took me about 5 hours!!!
